no doubt he will.

poydras 07-30-2011 09:20 PM

Well duh! He's the quarterback, offensive coordinator and head coach. That caldwell guy just runs practice. Have you ever seen him on the sideline? Never says a word. I'll bet his headset isn't even connected to anything.

poydras 07-30-2011 09:36 PM

Just realized that $90 mil divided by 5 years is $18 mil. 18 ... get it?
I'll bet they wish they had given him the number 10 or something.

SmashMouth 07-31-2011 10:56 AM

Guess that's what brees will be getting ... can we afford it?

FireVenturi 07-31-2011 07:04 PM

I would rather lock him up now if we can afford it, and not wait until the end of the year.

Maverick2299 07-31-2011 07:16 PM

He wont get the same deal, it will be close.

Doesn't the article say the Colts OFFERED Manning that, and
he turned it down to take LESS money so other guys can stay?
That's what I read in the TimesPic this morning. Much as I
hate the Indy Dolts, that was high class on Manning's part.

Manning is from good stock, and a great city. He knows the drill.
He can't spend all that money anyway. That's a lot of cheese.
Drew will be pretty comfortable also when his is finally inked.
I can't even imagine what that check looks like on the 15th and the end of the month.

Its Peyton Manning. 90 million

No, they wanted to give him 100 Million over 5 years. The 90M contract is the lesser amount.

Bet his agent was unhappy. :D

Still think its a tad much. If he was serius about wanting to win why not 70 mil?
