Mickey Loomis "We are not done with free agency"
"I think the top priority is always to re-sign your own guys when you have a good team," Loomis said. "And that's what we're trying to do. We're not done yet. We've still got some guys who are important to us and we'd like to have back. So our work's not done in that area. You know, we had a few targets, players from other teams. And we got some of them, and some we didn't.
"We're not at the end of the process. We're in the middle of it. We've got a number of our guys still out there, and I don't want anyone to think that this is over with. It's not." New Orleans has become a destination for pro football players | NOLA.com |

I sure hope there is a LB out there they are looking at......was a little let down to see shanle resigned. was really hoping for an upgrade.

Casillas will get the other spot, fastest LB core right there! |

EDIT: Sorry about the double post.:???: |
Not sold on our current group of LBs. Hate to rely on a rookie and an oft-injured UDFA to win starting roles. Vilma is the only sure thing we've got. Shanle is average at best, and who knows about the strong side. This is the weak spot on the defense right now, IMO... that and DEs.

I'm adding my vote for OLB being the next signing. That position is the obvious weak link. Maybe we trade a RB to the browns and get asian assasin Scott Fujita back

From what I heard today on WWL, Martez played with the starters and looked very very good. |
