Ingram is going to be a bust!
If his first NFL carry has anything to do with it. ;)
Saints rookie Mark Ingram receives harsh welcome to NFL in first full practice METAIRIE – Though the third practice of training camp hardly counts, prized rookie running back Mark Ingram’s first professional carry with the New Orleans Saints left much to be desired Sunday morning. After being stopped for a loss around left end, the 2009 Heisman Trophy winner from Alabama and the team’s second of two first-round draft picks, not only lost the ball but he also lost his helmet. Saints’ veteran middle linebacker Jonathan Vilma made the strip and scoop. There is some dispute as to who unhinged Ingram’s helmet. Some observers cite Vilma (that would give him the trifecta), others give the nod to free safety Malcolm Jenkins. Moments later, Saints Defensive Coordinator Gregg Williams’ added insult to Ingram’s bruised ego: “Welcome to the NFL! … Welcome! … Welcome! … Welcome!’’ “I thought the play was over,’’ Ingram explained. “I should have buttoned up but I didn’t. It is what it is. It’s all a learning experience for me. I made sure it didn’t happen again.’’ Sunday morning’s workout was Ingram’s first of training camp. He missed the first two workouts while his agent, Joel Segal, and team officials worked on a contract. |
Welcome to the NFL Mark.
I love it. He'll fit in just fine. |
Forever; I agree, I hope the Saints cut their losses early and are seeking a trade for an OLB and DT. :)

I'll go first.
Reggie Bush is better than Mark Ingram. Whew... glad I got that out the way. |
Ingram can't hold Reggie's jock.
Reggie single-handedly won the Superbowl for us, and he demanded triple coverage every time he was on the field. We scored 14 more points per game when Reggie was on the field. Payton was an idiot for using him so sparingly, and Brees was a moron for not feeding him the ball on every play. Not using Reggie was the ONLY reason we didn't win more Superbowls over the last 5 years. This Ingram punk will be the Ryan Leaf of running backs. Sincerely, BRA (B&G Reggiholics Anonymous) |
All little early to panic. If he'd torn his ACL on that carry we might have something to worry about.

"Since joining the team in 2006, Bush missed 20 games. In those games, the Saints went 13-7. That’s a .650 winning percentage. In games Bush played, the Saints went 36-24 (.600). But we have much more than that. In games with Bush since 2006, the Saints averaged 25.9 points. Without him, they averaged 29.8. In games Bush played, the Saints averaged 377.4 yards per game. When he didn’t play, they averaged 419.8. The Saints completed 66.5 percent of their passes when Bush played. When he didn’t, they completed 67.6." To say that Reggie Bush single handedly won the Super Bowl for us is silly. If you want to pick a player, or play rather, that won us the Super Bowl I'd say it was the ambush play at the start of the second half. Sometimes the difference between winning and losing is that little thing called momentum. If you disagree with me, that's fine. But I think we'll be just fine. SUPERBOWL XLVI HERE WE COME.! |
Knock, knock...
Who's there...? Sarcasm. |

Tracy Porter got burned by Marques Colston on his first ever defensive snap, 2 years later he sealed our superbowl win! |
Yeah bro.... Danno wasn't really believing that..... "Welcome to B&G!" :)

Well put Dizzle....we should cut Tracy too, while we're at it!!!! |
We won't know until the middle of the season given the fact that there were no OTA's and plenty of bickering about the CBA.

I thought the obvious sarcasm was obviously obvious.
I laid it on pretty thick, obviously. |
the o-line had a hole for him and he went into the reggie shake and got baked like him. he'll learn.

Hey, I have always supported Reggie. To this day I still don't believe he was used correctly in our offense and I think it stunted his ability and his career here.
On another note, Reggie alluded to his injuries being caused because he wasn't playing on natural turf, but last season alone, he was injured twice, once on natural turf against Pittsburg and the other, also on natural turf in Seattle so that statement doesn't hold water. Finally, I think we'll all see a much improved Reggie in Miami, after all, they know how to run the ball and have an O-Line that knows how to run block. Now that's the last thing I have to say about Reggie until the season starts. As for the practices, I'm somewhat disturbed with Drew's continued carelessness with the football already in TC with 3 picks being thrown in 3 practices. I hope he can get back to 09 form. As for Ingram, I'm usually fairly positive about rookie RB's but I'm wondering if we're all expecting too much from this kid like we did with Reggie and then wind up getting disappointed. Due to all the injuries, our RB corps looks a little thin going into camp but if everyone comes out healthy by the start of the season it could be a very good RB corps. I know one thing, and that is that I'm really looking forward to seeing Shaun Rogers play. I wish we could have gotten him 3 years ago. Can't wait to see his effect on our D-Line. Cullen Jenkins made a mistake going to the Eagles but then he already has his Super Bowl ring so it's all about the money for him now. Too bad, he could have joined that group of players that won Super Bowls on two different teams. Still, I hope we pick up another DT and or Hargrove for the rotation. |
The NFL will make a bust of him...in Ohio. LOL
|
Make a spot for him on the All-Aaron Brooks Team.
I had to mention him on a thread like this, lol. |
i don't believe anyone is a reggie hater or basher, its just the way some of us mourn his lost. he will be missed, lgo.
|
Dam can he play a game in the NFL, before we label him Jamarcus Russell .....

Miami has one of the worst OL in the NFL Ranks #22 NFL Stats: by Team Category and if you look at Miami's Team stats and ranking there yards average rushing is #29 2010 Miami Dolphins Statistics & Players - Pro-Football-Reference.com My opinion, Reggie is going to be mortally wounded on his 1st run,lol he's been running behind the #1-2 OL in the NLF for the last 5 years, he will play the Pats 2x and Jets 2x a year , plus Pit, ad the ravens. Reggie made a huge mistake carrier wise going to a team with little weapons , no QB play , and a crappy OL. he will be hit and often. Reggie gonna die,lol |
