Why all the Falcons love?
 

Pundits are crowning the Falcons NFC South champs already. Mike May**** said they will win the south "easily" What the hell have they done that makes them so easy to crown. No doubt Falcons are a very good team, but I don't see how anyone could put them that high above us. If I really try my hardest to be objective I can see where the two of us are a toss up to win the South, but I know we are the better team. Wtf is up with this?

They sold their souls for Julio and now every expert wants to give them the South, their defense is still garbage and I doubt they make the playoffs

I'm calling it now, the failcants will be 3-5 when we meet for the first game in ATL.

Something tells me these pundits all work for that 4 letter network which is famous for being wrong. Preseason picks rarely pan out so take it a a badge of honor,we're gonna win the south.

It was like this last year, all the hype about the home winning streak, they couldn't lose blah, blah, blah. We walk in there and beat them at home, then they choked it up against the Pack.

Let them crown their ass! They are who WE think they are!

Pretty hard to agreed with the "Journalists" when the only thing they have going for them is Ryan to White. That one trick pony won't get you a Lombardi. Gotta do like Drew, and spread the wealth to win it big. That's ok though, because we'll get to see plenty of INTs when Ryan tries to throw to those two and his noodle arm gives out after about 30 yards. For God's sake, even though we lost to Seattle, atleast it was relatively close and we were in THEIR house. Atlanta looked like a bunch of high schoolers against Green Bay. For shame Atlanta, FOR SHAME. NFC South Champs... LOL.

It's just like every year we hear about the Cowboys are going to go to the dance... No different, they both are crap to me.

We do have one really big thing going for us, though. So far, to my recollection, nobody has ever won the championship without having to play all the games first.

Some people take the reporting of other teams to seriously!

They have to cover all the teams... there are 32 other teams that they try and get the fan excited about their teams. So don't take to much stock in all the reports.

I did see on NFL network yesterday where they were saying New Orleans was the team to beat in the NFL South.

To Bad there isn't a Saints 24/7 channel yet...

The same type stuff happened the year the Saints won the Super Bowl.

No one was paying attention then and they're not now.

Falcons may get lucky and edge out the Panthers for third.

I think I understand why they're getting love. They have a solid running game, a good QB, a few good receivers, added Ray Edwards to an already good DL, have a good coach...

They still won't beat the Saints, but it's always good when our team is unnoticed.

Mike mayock couldn't find his butt with both hands and a gps. He is an idiot that spouts off with out any regard to actually thinking first. Who cares.

They gave up to much for Julio Jones I guess he's the secoud coming of Randy Moss. They did one thing I like and wish we should have done and that is signing Ray Edwards. Besides those to pick ups they haven't done s%*t. The Saints never get any respects and that's find. All we did was win last year with injury team and we lost in the first round oh I'm sorry didn't The Falcones lost in there first playoff game but they get a pass. F*&k them we have to just go out there and win it all F*&k Green Bay, Altanta, Philadephia and who ever they think is better than NEW ORLEANS.

Falcons are a good team. I fully expect two teams from the NFC South to make the playoffs this year. I've got a good feeling about our boys this year (adding Ingram and Rogers mainly), so let's see how they play it out.

I hate to say that the media has a bias against the Saints, because a lot of times when people complain about the media hating their team, they are just whiny people that can't accept their teams faults and stuff. But the truth is, its like there really is some kind of real bias against the Saints in the media. Green Bay wins the superbowl with a 10-6 record because they get on a hotstreak, and they are the likely candidates to repeat. The Saints win the superbowl after showing dominance all year long and its a fluke. It's like the media can't accept this team has turned the corner, even though they have shown repeatedly that they have. Not sure what their problem is.

With all the pressure on Julio from the start, I wouldn't be surprised if he shrinks a bit. It's hard living up to grand expectations (ask Ricky and Reg) and a few drops here and there will mess you up.








I feel bad about myself because that's what I'm kind of hoping for. :twisted:

Here's the deal:
They picked the Falcons last year and the Falcons won the NFC South.
Find every reason you can to attribute that to, and when you are done, they still won the thing.
Until we take it back, they still have the thing.
We fell on our face to the the SHawks, they loss to the Champs...that's what they remember.
I'm not surprised about the Falcon hype, in fact, I believe they are still our biggest test...they have a running game.
I'm not concerned about Mat Ryan or JJ. If we stop the run, we will choke their ability to throw.
We all know where our struggles have been, including the media. Until we prove we are better up front, the talk/write heads are giving them the nod. Fine with me. I hope we show who is the better team and earn our NFCS title back.

I know you posted this before, but... good thing we now have an impenetrable wall that can't be run on. Henceforth we are no longer just the Saints, but the FalconHunters.

Well just yesterday I gave Loomis a B+ rating on Free Agency. Boy did I have to change my grade... and avatar. :D

Atlanta is going to be a tuff team this year as is TB. I HATE them both but we do not have a cakewalk season!!

I am seeing this as well. What needs to happen, is we need to consistantly have winning seasons, more play off wins, and they will stop seeing us as the same ol' saints. Losing to a 7-9 team in the play offs, certainly doesn't help our cause either.
