Practice on Friday afternoon started outside for the New Orleans Saints and fans got their first look at brand new member of the black and gold, center Olin Kreutz black sky full of thunder and lightning which sent the team scurrying indoors for the remainder of practice. Sad news for the fans that came out, but there was no choice.
Feel sorry for the fans, but there was really no choice. Now time for the notes from the day.

~ Kreutz is already in camp and ready to play. He'll be wearing jersey number 50 and believe it or not, he was already practicing with the first-team offense before the day was moved indoors.
Matt Tennant spoke on the signing of Kreutz:

"I am excited. When I watch film on guys he is one. He is a future hall of famer."

~ Marques Colston is not in uniform today so looks like he has been given the day off. No word yet if only rest or if there is a deeper issue, but there appears to be no problem.
