Porter, Colston return to practice
 

Two good injury notes for the Saints as CB Tracy Porter (knee) and WR Marques Colston (knee) practiced Sunday afternoon. This is the first time Porter practiced since the start of training camp, while Colston returned after missing a week.

Those who didn't practice Sunday were RB Chris Ivory (ankle), DE Greg Romeus (knee), RB Joique Bell (knee), CB Johnny Patrick (knee), LB Ramon Humber (quad), LB Clint Ingram (hamstring), LB Ezra Butler (hamstring), DE Jeff Charleston (ankle) DT Tom Johnson (calf) and T Alex Barron (knee).

The New Orleans Saints were joined at practice Sunday by wide receiver Marques Colston and cornerback Tracy Porter, two key players for the team as they head toward the 2011 season.

Porter made his first practice appearance of camp. He has knee surgery following the 2010 season, in which he missed four games. (More at the link above)

Now I hope these "lingering" pains to forbode some greater problems once the season gets started.

Let them stay healthy too

Does anybody know how bad Johnny Patrick knee is and when Greg Romeus might get on the feild. I know he is going to start the season on the PUP list, but will he play sometime this season.

I doubt Romeus will see action this year.

Yeah. This is what I think too. I think they expected it when they drafted him. His injury is what made him such a great value. Had he not been injured and was expected to be able to play this year he would have been closer to a first rounder. I don't think they realistically expected him to be ready this year.

I hope Colston is really healthy and goes on to have another 1000yds season. He can't be very far away from being the Saints all-time leader att WR?

He is 2748 yards till he passes Eric Martin. 11 touchdowns till he passes Joe Horn. He is 164 catches till he passes Eric Martin.

It two-three years he should pass them all.

Disappointed to see Clint Ingram sitting out again. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me...

he may be the next one gone if he doesnt get his arse on the field soon...
