The good, the bad, the ugly
The good:
Rookies not named Cameron........Ingram, Morgan, Martez all look like steals right now (I know Ingram cost us a bit but for what we get those picks are minimal.) FB......that Collins kid looked great. First play of the game and he put his nose onto a LB and opened a hole for Thomas. The BAD: OL.......the QBs were getting rushed on every throw. There is not much more to say about this crew, they look terrible. DL.......while the Oline was getting pushed into the QB the Dline was getting pushed 10 yards away. Missed tackles were killers. Every run play, it looked as though Rogers was playing from his knees. LB.......that includes Vilma. Every single run play, this crew missed at least 2 tackles. They couldn't cover rice with gumbo. Absolutely the worst part of the defense. DB......hopefully we get to full strength soon, because Robinson is looking lost. This crew needs to mature quickly. The Ugly Officiating....let these guys play. Every time someone would make a "remember me" shot a flag was thrown. However when lineman were held they would look the other way. One play there should have been a late flag, Strief getting punched in the face on the Brees fumble, the refs were too busy watching the ball. Chase.....as good as Daniel was last week, he was that bad this week. Brown.......Charles brown looked lost out there. Whether he didn't know the snap count or was getting beat off the line, this guy needs to be cut before he gets someone hurt. We open the schedule with some tough contests, going to lambaugh field for an emotional night during a game the defending champ has never lost. Next up against Chicago who always gives Sean trouble, then Houston. This team better be ready because they won't have a chance to make mistakes to learn from. |
