More Injuries?!?!?!
just got a call from a friend saying that he heard Ingram didnt practice today due to swelling knee, galette left field with head trainer and did not return, and Nicks is supposedly out only 1 week. Someone please confirm or deny. I cant take this anymore
|
Nicks only a week thats not bad at all.... I'm sure Ingram could of gone if it was a regular season game week

At this point in the preseason, a lot of these "sit-outs" are just precautionary.
|
Can we consolidate all the injury discussion into one thread?

Saints receive good news about Nicks' knee; Ingram sits with knee swelling
“The concern yesterday (with Nicks), leaving the practice, was that it might be a longer period of time,” Payton said Tuesday. “About an hour after practice, we got the MRI results and those ended up being negative. That was good.”
As for Ingram, Payton said, “It’s nothing serious. We held him out and we will see where he’s at tomorrow.” Payton said Nicks likely will miss Sunday night’s preseason game at Oakland, though the prognosis is for the lineman to miss about a week. They’ll re-evaluate Ingram on Wednesday, Payton said. Full article below. Saints receive good news about Nicks' knee; Ingram sits with knee swelling | wwltv.com New Orleans |
Injury list is getting ridiculous.
|
I go back and forth with this. After watching the Giants the other night, and what they are dealing with, I tend to think (at the moment anyway), that it's a league-wide problem, affecting everyone. Some just more than others
|
i'm going to take that info and take it as positives. they both will be okay.
|
I blame the trainers. It's their fault our players are getting hurt.
|
73Saint, The Giants' whole team got IR'ed the other night!! I counted 11 guys they have lost for the season as of now and just finished week two of the preseason!!!! Yikes!!!
|
Yep, the Giants are in a bind...
|
Does someone have a list of all of our guys that are hurt?
|
Be glad we aren't the Giants... I think any fan who shows up to a Giants game may get a uniform and find themselves playing the game.

Off topic, but does anyone know of an app or mobile site that will make it easier to post from a smartphone? I am away from a computer most of the time!

could it be that we are just beating the daylights out of each other in practice. GW what i understand don't cut no slack to no one. it has to be tough to run someplays out there. looks like alot of injuries are at practice with little going down in real games. just saying

When practising full speed for a long period injuries are gonna happen. Knees will swell, hamstrings, achilles will be sore, people gonna pull a groin or the abs and so on, especially when practising in really warm weather.
Last year before the Euopean Championship we practised with the Swedish national team in 100 degree weather for almost a week, two a days, at the end most everybody was banged up and aching but a couple of days rest and lighter practise before games started had everybody ready to go. Most of these things gonna be minor but out of 90 guys there will be a couple who get an injury that will require a longer rehab or surgery but I think we'll be fine. |
Mark Ingram (knee) returned to practice Thursday, as expected.
Ingram came down with swelling after Monday's practice, and the Saints opted to rest him for a couple of days. Coach Sean Payton is confident that Ingram will be fine for Sunday's game against the Raiders. Source: James Varney on Twitter |
My god injuries in practice and their in California. This just sucks man :(
|
Head coach Sean Payton said he expects rookie running back Mark Ingram to play against the Oakland Raiders this weekend even though he has been missing practice since Saturday's game with some knee issues.
Payton said Ingram would likely practice Thursday and play Sunday in the nationally-televised tilt. "Our expectations are that he'll be a go," said Payton. Ingram was far from the only player sitting out practice, Payton said the following players missed work Wednesday: Ezra Butler, Tom Johnson, Johnny Patrick, Jeff Charleston, Fabian Washington, Will Herring, Chris Taylor, Aubrayo Franklin, Clint Ingram, Roger Allen, Jarred Fayson, Carl Nicks, Mark Ingram, Junior Galette, and Mitch King. http://blackandgold.com/saints/35688...welling-3.html |

I'm going to bring a spare jersey to the games in case they need me out there.
|
Just throwing this out there...Does anyone else think that perhaps some of what we are seeing (seemingly increasing #'s of injuries) has to do with the "steroid era" taking place?
Makes you wonder, anyway. |
