Sproles or Roby on Kick Returns?
 

Interested to see what happens Thursday night. When they signed Sproles, I thought for sure he'd be the KR guy, but then Roby survived the cuts and was named special teams captain. Is Roby just a gunner or is he our KR guy until further notice?

Crosby has such a weak leg (terrible touchback percentage) that whoever's back there Thursday should see some open space.

Guy had 84 kickoffs last year . . . 4 touchbacks.

I don't want Sproles unnecessarily injuring himself if Sean figures him heavily in the three-prong running attack with Ingram and a rotation of who else we have.
I would, however, put Sproles in there two or three times just for ****s and giggles but leave the majority of returns for Roby just for him to contribute.

Give me Sproles... he's more elusive and explosive.

I would love to see Sproles show us what he is capable of now that he is in Black and Gold.

I'd like to see them alternate to some degree myself. Keep them motivated.

The whole kick off rule just bites... but we have to be ready and take chances. I think they ought to change or do away with the extra point. Move it back to the 20 also or make everyone go for 2.

Depth chart says it's Devery Henderson . . . I'm guessing that's wrong.

Make TD's count for 7 and a two point option is either plus 1 point if you make it or minus 1 point if the defense stops you.

Roby doesn't need to be fresh on offense. He doesn't contribute.

That is probably a leftover from the Seattle game when Roby was out.

Roby works for me. I haven't seen too many of Sproles returns.

I want the best player returning kick since this is the BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR since it may determine home field advantage in the playoffs and we sure as hell don't want to go to Green Bay again. ;)

Will there be an official depth chart released before the game? Or we will just to watch and see who lines up back there?

I think Roby is probably better for the kneel down.

That's the thing: there won't be many kneel downs tonight. Crosby kicked off 84 times last year and had only 4 touchbacks. This is a legitimate way to attack Green Bay tonight.

Just kind of surprised that no beat reporter has been able to tease out who our kick returner is.

Sproles should be able to pick up where Bush left off at the minimum.

I liked him as a Charger except I didn't like him last season. It seemed that when he got that contract for 6.2 million, he got too comfortable and lost his hunger. Now he's on a different team and making less. Maybe that's the reality check he needed.

Sproles is the man. It looked as if he'd been caged up for years and someone finally let him out of the cage.

Sproles is the man! Returning, catching, running. This is most likely the best Offense we have had. Now the D needs to step it up big time.
