CHRIS COLLINSWORTH
Is it my imagination or does Collinsworth have something against The Saints. It seems like he put the team down any chance he could and it killed him to say anything positive. At the end of the game when Drew was pushing for the comeback Collinsworth finally broke down and said some positive things. I guess he was trying to cover himself just in case we made it to OT.
Also Collinsworth has a striking resemblance to Mike Wolfe from American Pickers. He also has the same high pitched laugh and does the same schoolgirl jokes on Simms just like Wolfe does to his little chubby partner Fritz. The only difference is that one is an American Picker and the Broadcast Boy is a Nose Picker. (cleaned up version) |
It isn't your imagination.
It doesn't help that he is a whiner. He's a douchebucket. Florida Gator. What do you expect... He got his degree in accounting. He's a nerd. |
I think he was pretty dead on. GB was up most of the game by a couple of scores and let's face it, there really wasn't much to talk about Saints wise, I can only think of one time they stopped Rodgers. His receivers were wide open.
|
I think he is a nasily, whiney ickabod squirrel who'll never wear a ring and never be in the HOF.
He just has a mike in his face. |
Yes, Chris Collinsworth has a special hatred for the New Orleans Saints. He makes no attempt to hide this fact from any broadcast he calls involving the Saints. He's a ***** and I hope he catches the clap.
In case you can't tell, I hate Chris Collinsworth. |
I used to hate Collinsworth but he was calling it like he saw it last night. The final score wasn't indicative of how bad we looked. We were outplayed and out-coached last night. The fact that we had a chance to tie it late was a complete miracle and mirage.
|
Trust me, my opinion for Chris Collinsworth is not based on last night.
It goes all the way back when I used to have HBO. |
What we are going to bash Obama next for us losing?
|
I thought he wad doing his job. He called the game the way we all saw it.

I'm with the hatters on Collinsworth, never have I liked anything this dink has too say. But I can't blame him, we were just not anywhere near ready for GB last night.
|
The last I checked people are allowed to hate... I don't lose any sleep over anyone hating on my team.
|
Here's my point.....
I am 100% for freedom of speech and thought. However, when you are suppose to be a "NON BIASED" commentator and every chance you can make your distaste for another team apparent......I have a problem with that. Do I get heartburn listening to him...No. Do I stop watching a game just because he calls it....NO. I feel the same way about Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreet reguarding LSU. Now, Does Collinsworth call a good game? Yes, he explains plays, great at bringing emotion to the viewers. I just don't like when he calls a Saints game. Yes, I understand the commentators, sports casters all the way down to the poor guys that run the cables for the camera crew; are fans of a particular team. I feel, that when you are on the National stage you should show a bit of reserve is your Fandom. To me it seems as if he will make a point (with the Saints) to keep turning the knife after it has been buried up to the handle. |
Why does everyone thing they need to be NON-BIASED. They don't have to be they are allowed to like a team and have a favorite. There is no law saying they have to be Non-Biased.
The only non biased person you are going to find is someone who isn't a fan of football and even then they may show fav's based on where they are from or who there Dad like. The way we played D... we deserved every bit of bashing we got. Announcers and analyst announce who their favorite teams are every day on ESPN and other channels. Terry Bradshaw is a Saints fan and doesn't hide that fact. |
I see your point Euph.
I don't want to argue. I still hate Chris Collinsworth, like I hate picking up trash after a dog tears it up and scatters it across my yard. |

See nothing wrong hating just to hate. Some people just don't like someone for no reason sometimes and nothing one can do about that. |

You just can't fault the guy for giving props to a team was scored 4 TDs on their first 5 possessions. I don't see how you sugar-coat that, even if you're a Saints homer. |
He wasn't that bad..i thought he was fair..better than Aikman and Buck..or Billick..
|
I been thinking he's a bit of a tool for a few years now.
|
We should hang 'em in effigy
|
It's your imagination. If the Packers were losing he would have been pointing out the reasons they were losing. That's essentially what he was doing with the Saints.
|
At least he wasn't as bad as Deirdoff back in 09 when the Saints played the Jets. I really thought Sanchez and him had a date set up after the game

I don't like or dislike Collinsworth, but he did make one stupid comment last night. Before the saints did the onside, he said that it would probably be better just to go ahead and kick it off to Green Bay. I don't know if he was just trying to throw it out there that they had another option, but no way do we just kick it off to Green Bay in that situation. We only stopped them on two drives the entire game. Yea, we went on to stop them on that drive, but the odds were not in our favor when you look at the game as a whole.
|
Well, here's my two cents for what it's worth. I DETEST COLLINSWORTH! As far as I'm concerned, he's "worth-less!" I have never liked him. He always has that pukey little smirk on his ugly mug, and he has never liked the Saints. I tune him out every chance I get. I keep wondering how he keeps getting renewed every season as an announcer. ??? Anyway, I detest Aikman, too. Give me Al Michaels and Jon Gruden, and I'm a happy camper!!!
|
I HATE THAT GUY SO MUCH.
|
I think Collingsworthless is an idiot.
There isn't much that will change my opinion unless he quits acting like a (_!_)head. I'm not holding my breath. |

He is a PENCIL NECK GEEK who thinks he is all that & a bag of chips when he is really just a complet ASS C--K!! :dunce: |
He was SPOT ON with his comment that the Saints looked tentative, not in it.
Remember, we rested our starters in Pre-game 4. Our receivers had two weeks off and it showed in the first series. Meachem drop, Colston fumble. Alaska |
He says some decent things and some idiotic things ... I just can't stand the tone of his voice it is very annoying.

Is that the dude that is always at the bottom of the pile?...lol... |
C.C. is a TOOL...I hate him...he talks as if he is a hall of famer and is much better than anyone on the field...
|
I don't like him at all, but I don't hate him either.
I do think that when a football game is marketed as the "America's game" and is a nationally broadcast event, the broadcasters should take care to be as unbiased as possible. I don't think that is a problem with the local broadcasts, like the Saints' games on the CST, because that's what the majority of the viewers are expecting - favoritism from the local crew. One thing that stood out to me during that game was when Collinsworth referred to Charles Brown as a "big TE" and not as a tackle, which to me shows some lack of preparation. All in all, I think Michaels makes him more bearable than he would otherwise be. And I agree completely with him sucking on HBO... he was one of the reasons I stopped watching that particular show. |
