Charles Woodson

What a POS..how he wasn't ejected is beyond me..the league owes us an explanation...I think Sean was right to be pissed...if we meet these:handguns: chumps again..please give him and Rogers something to remember us by:disgusted:...Home cooking was on the stove last night...

SaintGup 09-09-2011 09:44 AM

I was absolutely amazed that he wasn't ejected. The ref obviously saw it so why not? I can't believe that.

bbourque5 09-09-2011 09:50 AM

He will get fined and probably will have to sit out. Remember, the NFL goes back and reviews the games looking for ways to fine people. I didn't know much about Woodson's character before last nights game, but I just assumed he was an okay guy because I had never heard anything negative about him. Now, I know that he is a world class giant bag of douche. I understand you want to be physical and give people extra shoves after the whistle is blown, but punching people in the stomach is way over the line. He will now be labeled as a dirty player

papz 09-09-2011 09:54 AM

He'll get a 1 game suspension.

Its kinda stupid to do it after the play is dead. A punch in the gut is really common during the play, especially on the lines. I migh have done it once or twice myself.... :-D

Yeah, I don't think it makes him a bad guy - doesn't make him different than most of the guys in the NFL I would imagine.

Still, he got caught. An ejection was in order. Why it didn't happen is a mystery.

Choupique 09-09-2011 01:49 PM

No mystery.

It was Green Bay.

The Fudgepackers have gotten special treatment for a long time
if ya ask me. Sure the Lombardi trophy is part of their namesake
but I've never been too much of a fan of that team. They're kinda
bumpkin elitists, if ya get my drift.

No he won't. This game was not meant for us to win. The league does not want the defending champ to lose the opening game & they never have since they started this.

WHy did the league wait 3 years to finally suspend SMith (& the pther idiot from the Vi-queens)?

lumm0x 09-10-2011 11:23 AM

If I remember correctly Tyler Brayton was fined and not suspended for kneeing a guy in the balls with all the refs watching.

Woodson will get a small fine and nothing more. He's not a dirty player, he's a guy who's emotion got the better of him in a huge game. He deserved an ejection but ultimately it didn't matter. He wasn't a factor in our loss. Game over, let's move on.

woodson was, WAS actually one of my favorite players. i didnt like the play cause is was against us but if he did that vs atlanta i would prob like him more. im sure dirtier things than that go on under the pile

makes no sense...sorry. they waited until will smith played a defending superbowl champion to carry out a multi person suspension??? C'mon man!!! Am in the minority by not believing the NFL's conspiracy theory against the new orleans saints??

Pete 09-10-2011 03:31 PM

Dude was digging full blown uppercuts like Tyson man,and it wasn't just ONE!! Those Refs should take a hit too!I love competitiveness but that warranted a ejection!:bs: :bs: :bs: :bs:

jcp026 09-10-2011 03:38 PM

If they didn't see the punch they didn't see the punch. He should be suspended for the next game, or, at the very least, get a huge fine.

Pete 09-10-2011 03:45 PM

I Saw It!lol Couldn't they hear it?Guess not.(I'll throw the "flag"):bs:

pumpkindriver 09-11-2011 06:58 AM

The only thing I can think of is the Ref saw something but maybe he didn't have the angle to see the actual punch so that why woodson wasn't ejected.

Saint_LB 09-11-2011 07:12 AM

I think I was typing in the chat room or something 'cause I missed it. I still haven't seen it...probably because I'm not that interested in seeing it. I've seen it all before.

There are many scenarios as to what actually could have happened. I mean, I really doubt that he just did it on a whim. I keep repeating the Dumbo story as an example of the "really" guilty guy not being seen, as in Dexter Manley.

Anyway, when thinking of Woodson, I only have one name for him, but it comes in the form of a riddle. Figure out the clues to find out my new nickname for Charlie.

Packer. Now...replace any letter "a" found with the letter "e"...but not visa versa.

Cheese----. Fill in the blank.

Add the two words together.
