Payton and the Saints have proven to be the team where players can get a second and third chance. If there ever was a place for Housh to go Neworleans would be the place. It would be nice if we could get another play maker on D as well. Who is left that is currently unsigned?

LOL.....They just might bring him back.

Can't remember hearing anything negative about Houshmanzadeh. I know he never got much playing time with The Ravens behind their stacked receiving corps. He was vocal about it but that indicates he wanted to play not ride the bench.

TheEnigma 09-12-2011 05:06 PM

I'd rather have Moss.

xan 09-12-2011 06:09 PM

The RAVENS have a stacked receiving corps? Really? Housh couldn't beat out 40 catch a year Lee Evans? or, his backup, rookie Torrey Smith? or Bolden's backup rookie LaQuann Williams? or 10 catch in his career James Hardy?

Ravens didn't sign Housh because they were confident 4 players who total 41 catches a season would be better. Something's fishy.

The Ravens are DESPERATE for WR talent and they went with a #3, 2 rookies and a look squadder.

And Moss and TO are still out of a job too. Nothing fishy about it, they're all emergency players who will only sign if a team gets desperate.

No one is claiming they're starter material.

If we're a No Diva Zone - no way we sign Whozeyodaddy

If we allow Diva's -then Moss enters the equation...

We got Graham to post up in the endzone now...

Arrington should be on all Brown's and Kleinpeter's Milk Cartons in South Louisiana...

You're comparing a Diva hall-of-famer to a minor league wanna be Diva.

Those two aren't even on the same Diva planet.

Payton on wwl.com just now just said "No" to talking to any other WR's despite all the recent reports. He says they like the group of guys they have in house at the position and that Devery, Meachem and Arrington will get extra work during Colston's absence for the next 3 or 4 games.

This is exactly why we are lying about the moss thing. Last night Payton said we were happy with our receivers. Well why are we looking at TJ for, and if we are looking at TJ, then why wouldn't we have looked at Moss.

Mardigras9 09-13-2011 01:53 PM

All depends on how they look against the Bears.

man i hope yer rite strato we are going down the wrong path with 2 of our best hands boys not playing this week, all this housmanzata, moss and bubly (t.0.) seems like false rumors so we're going in with our 3yr practice sq. ace. A.A. Mcplay and makim meach and runnum down dev. we did'nt have the time to run the ofense with the late arrivals if they came.
i can see this we can win with our boys, i trust coach to have. um right.

LOL....^^^^Did anybody understand that?^^^^

Bring back the kid from pre-season with the sure hands - Andy Tanner. He caught everything and is the closest thing we've got to Moore's sharp routes. I think he's on the practice squad. He could cover for Moore until he gets back. I think new blood at this point just muddies the water. A good running attack opens up the rest for Meach, Henderson and Graham. Good balance is key now.

True. Someone like Tanner could possibly turn out to be a really good contributor in the Saints' passing offense and if he were to pan out... someone else in the receiving corps with a bigger contract might become expendable (AA or DH f.e.) opening up more cap to cover Brees' and Nicks' new contracts.
