Has RB Patrick Cobbs been released from IR today (9-12) ?
 
While checking Welcome To SaintsReport.com Est. 1997 - SaintsReport.com, I noticed a new post there that was just made today that advises RB Patrick Cobbs has been released from IR. Does this mean he is now active or no longer with the Saints? Both ESPN: The Worldwide Leader In Sports and NFL.com - Official Site of the National Football League have nothing about it on their transaction page. Can anyone confirm the release and Cobb's status with the team?
I thought the guy showed some decent skills in his preseason appearances and could eventually be an adequate replacement for an injured starter.

According to Rotoworld he was released from IR with an injury settlement which means once he clears waivers he can sign and play anywhere even back with the Saints if they so choose to resign him.

If PT/Ingram/Sproles/Bell get hurt it certainly will matter. I'd rather someone like him over Julius Jones or Ladell Betts again.
