Some Sharper news
 

The Broncos will try out free agent S Darren Sharper on Tuesday.

This is our first Sharper post since August 27. The Broncos don't need safety help, so they might be doing Sharper's agent a favor. Sharper has little left in the tank after struggling in eight games last year. He turns 36 in November.

Hire him as Harper's personal coach he sure needs one

As much as I love Sharper, my best guess is he may really be done. I would have to believe the Saints would have brought him back if he had anything left to contribute. For his sake, I hope he lands with the Broncos, but it's not looking too good for him. The Saints sure could use the 2009 version of Sharper right about now, but it doesn't look like that will happen.

He is old.

i wrote sharter off when jenkins proved he was sick and when he blew in the games he played in last year. he went out with a bang and ring...sometimes you just gotta let em go...

Maybe you all are right we could be just holding on to that memory and the front office is looking at reality. After all we did let go of Shockey which was also unsettling. Strange that I did not have the same feeling with Reggie I guess he was just a different character.
