I'm not a big fan of guys who "rat."

RockyMountainSaint 09-22-2011 06:00 PM

Fifty bucks says Heath Evans' big mouth will say something about this too.

AsylumGuido 09-22-2011 06:16 PM

Chill out, guys. Every team does it. Fujita was just saying that. The point is that some teams are really crappy at it like the Giants.

Regardless if we did fake injuries...

I was always taught to be loyal and never "snitch" on anybody; therefore I dislike snitches...

FireVenturi 09-22-2011 06:34 PM

Where I come from, Snitches get Stiches.

i honestly think its a great tactic. free time out and rest. kills offensive momentum. i would do this at least once a game. especially when a player is coming out due to rotation. gives everyone a chance to catch their breath

Speedy Ron 09-22-2011 07:08 PM

plus i always thought fujita was really goofy. he had some really immature jokes during the superbowl to manning when he was mic'd up. i wouldnt like him if i was playing with him. he the dude who still farts in peoples faces or puts a booger on you

homerj07 09-22-2011 07:58 PM

You do "It". :flame:

You know you do "It".

Everyone does "It".

Some times it's better to keep your mouth shut. This is one of those times.

Homer, I think you meant "Louie Sez"!

I agree with you. Defense is being regulated out of the NFL. Doing this is a reaction to the rules being slanted too far in the offense's favor.

The offense has to snap the ball within 24 seconds. If they choose to go directly back to the line of scrimmage (LOS), they have that option. If they run a play right away, good for them.

It bothers me when they run to the LOS to prevent the defense from substituting. Then the QB walks up and down the LOS telling each player individually what his assignment is. He then changes that yet again. They eventually snap the ball when there is 1 sec left on the play clock! How is that a "hurry up" offense?

I think that if you set your offensive line within 5 sec of reinstatement of play, you must snap the ball no more than 7 sec afterwards. Exemption for traditional, obvious hurry up situations. The defense is at an obvious disadvantage otherwise!

Players should just STFU about their former teams though!

We did it in the Super Bowl, and Porter picked off Manning the very next play. ALL teams have ALWAYS done this. This is nothing new. Like another poster pointed out the Giants are just bad at it and ruined it for the rest of the league.

Dungy was on the Dan Patrick show today and said the Texans were the worst (you can kind of understand) and that the Colts sent tapes to the NFL but nothing was ever done about it. At least according to Dungy they have a hand signal and it's the same one they've used for years. Once the signal is made someone goes down and sometimes it's a guy who wasn't even involved in the play. Kind of interesting given that we are now going to play them when this kind of thing is fresh on everyone's mind.
