Did the Saints win or did the Texans lose

Did the New Orleans Saints win, or did the Houston Texans lose?

Don't guess the writer of the article realized how many injuries we had to deal with on Sunday. NO Vilma, no Porter on defense and Losing 2 LB's early so you have no substitutes makes it harder to bring them on blitzes when they can't catch a breather sitting out a play.

I am not gonna take anything away from the Texans. They played their guts out! As well did our boys! I think it was a great game. The AFC really needs to watch out for Houston. Those boys are gonna sneak up and bite the AFC in the butt and no one is gonna know why, how or what, just happened.

Great game by both teams.

Simple.

The Saints won and the Texans lost.

We bucked up in the second while stop playing pansy defense and took the game.

The title to that article blows donkey balls.

Houston knew what was on the line for them as well as we did. We won this game flat out. This was a classic tale of "get thy asses in gear". The Saints of Ol' would've packed the tent. The Saints of now are in for the full 60. What a great feeling.

im pretty sure the saints had more pts than the texans...so that would tell me the saints won. if they were playing golf than the texans would have won

Any time a team scores on 6 of their first 7 possessions and loses you have to wonder what went wrong. But to be fair, we had our way with their [top ranked] defense as well. Plus, if the Texas don't score on a fluke play, they lose by double digits.

Our defense isn't very good, but I'm holding out hope that the new faces continue to gel as the year progresses. The fact that we can beat a team as good as the Texans, on a roll, while losing as many players as we did, bodes well for the rest of the season.

So is a pass completed, or simply not intercepted?

NOS2SB 09-27-2011 12:46 PM

Seriously? We straight up won that game. Remember, they had a lucky touchdown at the end.

Both, saints won and texans lost. The Texan fan accepts that the best team won the game. Good luck the with your remaining games, would like to see your team rep. the NFC next february.

ok, so what did we say when the 49ers used to always come back and beat us?

Joe Montana was great, the 9'ers were great...

and they beat us again, dammit.

is anyone else drunk with happiness that WE are now the team with
4th quarter mystique?

homerj07 09-27-2011 06:28 PM

Weird game. COuld have gone either way!! I am glad we won though.

We definitely won that game; which defense stepped up and held to 4 field goals in the red zone?

exactly ... Joe did that to us sooooooo many times!

Saintswrath 09-28-2011 08:44 AM

Aye.. Saints won.. the Scoreboard had Texans way out of the game toward the final 8 mins of the 4th Quarter, Houston had a great first half but the Saints put it on em and didn't let off until the end.

Mardigras9 09-28-2011 11:16 AM

Not sure if it was defense stepping up, or lack of execution from the Texan offense in the red-zone, but a win is a win.

vpheughan 09-28-2011 08:59 PM

Because you can put letters together to form words, does that make you a writer?

Championship teams know how to finish games. They know how to stand up in the face of adversity. The only difference between us winning and them winning is the winning culture we have developed over the past several years. Experience in big games played a big part in this win. We won this one because we have learned how to win.
