Special Teams
 

I have not heard much about them on the boards this year. It looks like they have improved tremendously over the past few seasons. Figured I would give some props where they are due. Still need some work, but they are on the improve. Even if it would be hard to do any worse than they did last year.

Not hearing about them is a good thing!!

One more thing to thank Darren Sproles for.

Sproles took a lot of pressure off McMahon. So has the new kick off rule and having a punter as good as ours.

Other than opening night, can't complain.

It was pretty even opening night.

You mean an improvement over THIS special teams team?!


Chris Reich really screws the pooch...

Better then last year.

Coverage and return blocking both look a little better this year. I'm happy with what we're doing on special teams.

But seriously, much improved. Thusfar,

Couple things have made them better

1 - Darren Sproles - beast

2 - More speed on coverage teams e.g Roby, Martez Wilson

3 - Morstead has got a hell of a leg on him, to be fair i'm glad we drafted this punter, the guy is good at what he does

I know we had good returns but giving up the 108 yard return for a TD was the result of the same ole thing not wrapping up and making the tackle. ST's have improved since opening night was my point.
