Jim Henderson rips Shockey

Saints Announcer Rips Jeremy Shockey

I wonder if Jim Henderson has ever met Shockey in person. Just a thought.

Luda34 10-11-2011 07:42 AM

I don't think Henderson was commenting on Shockey as a person, but as a football player and teammate. Henderson is probably right, but Shockey was a good boy when he was here so I don't care what he does now and am somewhat humbled that he is so upset he isn't here anymore. That's just Shockey and it is what has made him a popular figure even though he's been an average tight end.

I like him too.

I think Payton/Loomis had a Come-To-Jesus meeting with him before the Saints signed him.

Maybe they had another one of those meetings on deciding whether to resign him..... We all know how that turned out...

This was sparked when Shockey decided to not shake hands with his former teammates and just run straight to the Lockerroom after we beat them, it was a disgusting whiny act from a grown ass man and Jim was right on for slamming him, the dude got some growing up to do.

Right on! Sometimes you never know where someone's heart and mind is, until they pull their pants down.

Graham is WAY more talented than Shockey. The coach/general managers job is to keep the team filled with talented compatible players. Glad we got rid of Shockey and Bush. Sproles on one leg and with a broken arm is better than Bush.

I met at shockey at an autograph signing in mandeville. He was a complete a$$ to the fans and even to the kids. Acted like God's gift to man and that he was only there for the money. What you see on TV is the real Shockey - LOW CLASS. I'm not sure why some people can't see that.

I'm sure he's met him many times.

Dude, I doubt there is a Saint that Jim Henderson hasn't met in person. He is bloody Jim Henderson!

I feel exactly like Henderson and have for quite some time now.

I don't think any of his off field antics or behaviors was especially egregious but I felt he had lost a step and he couldn't stay on the field. He was always nicked up. I appreciate what he did for us during the SB run but we were right not to resign him. I'm sorry we hurt his feelings, but thats the NFL and thats just business.

Exactly - except I've been calling him a whiny little bee-atch instead of a "grown ass man"
