Had Shockey done the same thing to the Giants while he was with us I don't think most would have had a problem with it.

I don't have a problem with it now. Some people get on players (like Aaron Brooks, Jay Cutler, Eli Manning, etc) because they don't see any outward passion. Some people rag on players like Steve Smith, Shockey, and others, because they opening display their passion.

We're cool Shockey, so long as you can get as well as you give. :-)

Yep. Right up until the voodoo comes to get you...

See; Peyton Manning

Classless, and our coach has no responsibility to address a classless act by a former player, right or wrong.

Juvenile is the word to describe Shockey.

I was just about to bring that up. Peyton Manning didnt shake any hands after the superbowl. Does that make him a sore loser, with no class? Cant have it both ways.

Did Manning ever apologize?..

"I hold myself accountable," the 10-year veteran wrote. "It was a classless move by me. No one takes losses worse than me."

It's ok Shockey. You'll get your chance again. The last week of the year.

manning saidhe said he regretted which i don't think is an apology. Saints need to beware of the next game with the pansies. if u read the post game comments by some players and rivera himself about we will not forget, well u guys go read it urselfs maybe i'm reading it the wrong way but its on the saints home site.

He didn't shake hands because he did alot of smack talking before and during the game. He came out on the losing end of the game. No one wants to have to face the fact that they were wrong. He knows he was wrong.... but saying it a couple of days after you do it is too late. The masses who held you in high reguard no see you as nothing but a sore loser.

SapperSaint 10-12-2011 10:28 PM

As far as the Manning no shaking hands....

Here's how I feel.

Archie was our QB; not Peyton or Eli or Cooper. Yes, they grew up Saints fans but their allegence was due to their father playing for the Saints. They are not Saints. Am I glad they are doing well???? Yes. But just because they are Archie's boys. Other than that, they aren't Saints and I don't expect anything from the Boys.

No it doesn't. It take a pissy little girl having his Coach & GM tell HIM we would apologize.
