Has anyone heard if Steve Smith was fined for yanking Jenkins facemask in Sunday's game?
 

He didn't even go after the plaer that hit him!!

Why shouldn't he? He picked up Jenkins by the facemask and dragged him. Jenkins didn't hit him Harper did. I would think both Harper and Smith will be fined and Smith's should be a larger fine.

I think only Harper would get fined. Everything afterwards was a reaction to what he did. And Smith didn't swing, just grabbed and pulled. You don't like that then don't throw cheap shots.

But....I liked Harper's "cheap shot!" Someone had to shut them up....they were mouthing off and taking cheapshot hits after every play, and the refs were doing nothing to stop it. We all want our players to play with personality and emotion....well looks like Harper did, to me! There's a time and a place for everything. :)

The other thing that I saw last night during the replay was the 2 elbows that the *****cats player hit Ingram with after his TD yet he was flagged for taunting.

Yeah, they can't say anything...idiots. There is pushing and shoving and namecalling and cheapshot hitting goin' on all the time. Refs just decided to call it all on us because they were trying to get Fig Newton to win another game. You know....even the playing field. If you look at Roman Harper's fanpage and click on "everyone" at the top, there's a group of idiots giving him a hard time. One is a cowgirl fan, I think. I had to go on there and defend our guy! I guess they think it's a powderpuff league or something.

Harper waited too long to take that late hit. There was too much time between Smith's taunting and the hit. I understand why he did it, but it was a mistake. That fired the Panthers up, and we are lucky it didn't cost us a game, as well as a player (Jenkins could have been hurt, and Harper could have been tossed).

Harper is my hero, i hope Jenkins destroys Smith when the come to the dome, Panthers still suck so i still laugh at the end

I will say this, it's definitely going to make the next time we play them that much more interesting. I'm hoping Jenkins has a remember me hit for Smitty!!!

I disagree....in fact, I think it took the Panthers best player out of the game mentally. #89 didn't do jack squat after that play.

I didn't even think about that. I will concede that Smith was a non factor after that play. Still not sure it had as much to do with his mentality, as it did our D making adjustments, and keeping him out of the game.

Maybe so..but we doubled him the entire second half..we adjusted..thats why Shockey..Olson and Nana{not sure thats how you spell it} wereable to get open..

yeah I don't think it was the hit, or a mental thing, I think the deal with Smith in the 2nd half was adjustments, one of those things with the Gregg Williams D, where the stuff that is easy for the other team to do in the first half gets taken away in the second half. But also, Smith is a prima donna, so after that catch he probably knew he would be on all the highlight shows that night and felt like he was done for the day.
