Deuce hurt????????

DEUCE UPDATE: The knee injury that will sideline McAllister for the Pro Bowl Feb. 9 is not considered serious and will not require surgery, McAllister and Saints officials said.

McAllister suffered a partial tear to the posterior cruciate ligament in his knee in the loss to Jacksonville. He started and played in the season finale against Dallas but continued to have trouble with the injury after the season.

After consulting with Saints coach Jim Haslett and agent Ben Dogra early this week, McAllister decided to skip the game and rest the injured leg.

\"Long-term, I think it\'s best (to not go),\" said McAllister, who rushed for 1,641 yards last season. \"Knock on wood, hopefully I\'ll make it back seven or eight more times.\"

\"He probably could have played with it, but why risk it?\" Haslett said. \"I didn\'t want him running down there with it on kickoffs.\"
