I have said this before, and i will say it again. Drew needs to run the ball more. There have been times this year, where he had an easy 3 yard run, to get a critical third down, and instead, he passes into double coverage. Heck, in every commercial I see him in, he's jogging or running, so I know he knows how! If there's no where to go with the ball, get the freaking yards!

I saw today what we did in with the Seahawks. A complete break down on defense, and a offense struggling to make up for it. I think its amazing we had 4 turnovers and only lost by 6, but there is a problem. Not sure what it is yet, but if we play like this in the NFC championship we are going to lose. |
We still play too far off the line of scrimmage with our DB's. You can't give a 7-10 yard cushion, are our guys just that slow? We need to be jamming the receivers at the line to throw off QB's timing and then maybe we can get some sacks. This is for the guys that replay the game since I didn't record it yesterday, how did Kreutz play compared to DLP the last 3 weeks? Was he the difference in the run game? I know Kreutz had a false start penalty that cost us a big play. Now how in the hell does a center have a false start?

I agree with Halo. Big turnovers like this are costly. If the Bucs team had given the Saints the 3 int's., you know the Saints would have used those gifts. I also agree with darstep about the 4th quarter comeback. Yes, it can be fun, entertaining , and great, exciting, when the Saints win, but as the saying goes, you have to play 4 qrtrs. of ball. The SS game, yeah, Saints could ahve won it, I believe, if you had more time. This one too. Reverse is the same for the games that the Saints have won, and ran the clock out, with the other team losing. 0:00 game over. |
Positives
-The Saints are 4-2 with half the scheduled road games played. -Robinson is looking good a against the pass and run. -Ingram looked good in short yardage and got a TD. -Graham is a great young TE. And tough. -Colston looks like he's back in top form. -Kasay made the kicks he should. -The next two games are against winless teams. Negatives -Payton getting injured. Playcalling and clock management suffered. -No pass rush blitzing or not. -Defense gave up too many big plays again. -Tackling is horrible. Ducking your head and throwing a shoulder is the opposite of how you tackle. -The o-line looked worse with Kreutz playing. -The run blocking is just bad. -The defense has no playmakers. -Jenkins is inconsistent at best. -Harper is consistent. Mostly bad. -When Drew has an off day, the Saints lose. -NFL officiating is horrible. -Drew is hanging Graham out to dry alot and he's taking some shots. -The Saints next two games are against winless teams. The same 'ol Saints would lose atleast one of those games. |

The only reason you havent heard anyone say that about Drew is because I just got over the hurt and only now have pulled myself together to talk about this crap. HA! WTF!!! Now, I in no way think Tampa is a bad team but I do believe that there is no way we should lose a game to them. 3 ints? Come on Drew!!! Who in the hell did he see in the end-zone? I know he was under "some" pressure, but not enough to have to throw that pass. UGLY! Season's still young, but there is no way we are going to beat a Green Bay or 49er team playing like this. I'm not saying we had to go 13-0, but impressive we are not. |

Exactly, I've been saying that for sometime now. Hell, it doesn't matter if we had AP back there running the ball is our "when all else fails" option. |

Ya'll need to calm down and relax. Yes, that game stunk. What a nightmare. The defense looked turrible.
But the freaking HEAD COACH went out with a BROKEN LEG, mere moments after walking onto the field, what do you expect is going to happen on a day like that? Everything prior to Payton getting hit, the team looked exactly like it should look. Defense had stopped 'em. Offense was moving. Immediately after it happened, the fumbles started, the interceptions, the team clearly was rattled and quickly turned into garbage. And Tampa Bay to their credit, they capitalized on seeing that we were basically decapitated as far as coaching is concerned. YES they are professionals and YES they should have been able to overcome it, but come on, man.... The head coach had a freaking broken kneecap. The master of offense is in the locker room watching it on TV instead of calling plays. That whole game was a freakshow. What happens if hypothetically, you are a small young knight, and you are facing a big giant knight in combat, the biggest and most fearsome knight in all the kingdom, and you must face him in dreaded single combat. You grab your sword, and just as the fight begins, the big knight rides at you on his horse, and his head suddenly gets lopped off by a tree branch hanging down? The fight has just begun, he already has a concussion, his helmet is twisted around on his head and he cannot see you, he can't see anything, he's just stumbling around. That fearsome warrior knight is not going to be a fearsome scary knight any longer! The young small upstart knight is going to win that battle, every time. And that's exactly what happened yesterday, folks. Other than the defense stinks, I'm not losing much sleep over it. Face it. This game was an aberration. It's one of those "one in a million" type freakazoid things. There's nothing to be done but regroup, and get the Bucs back here at home in a few weeks and handle them then. Raheem Morris has finally beaten Sean Payton, in a game with starters when it counts, but there is an asterix next to it. |
The thing to remember is that in the 2 losses we have had so far this season we were within a whisker of getting the win, if Drew had have looked left yesterday we would have got the win. I agree with everything that has been said about the defence, but those things can be fixed and its up to the coaches and players to get things sorted.
I do wish we could be more inventive when Mark Ingram is in the line up. Everyone in the NFL knows what the play is going to be when he is on the field and they are ready for him every time. Even so, he did his best and he did get a TD! Hope coach Payton is ok for the next game, we need him on the sideline! GEAUX SAINTS!!!! |
What should have happened? Every guy on our team should have gotten fired up to the fact, that that sh*#head, just took out our coach by pushing graham into him! They should have went out and busted some heads. FOR THE COACH!!!!
|
Rodgers runs when necessary. So does brady, ryan, sanchez..... Hell, even peyton will run if necessary! Why doesnt drew run????? Not everytime mind u, but if the yards are there, and he can keep the chains moving, and theres NO ONE OPEN, then RUN THE DAMN BALL.....
