Get well Coach
I'm really sad for coach...we lost the game, but I'm not worried about that
My thoughts are with him. We will be fine. It was a bad game from the start..we lost..but we will stick together and get through this. Get well Coach Payton...and guys if you have it in you.. play hard for him..harder than you ever have! Im not going to dwell on this loss...just look forward WHO DAT! http://assets.nydailynews.com/img/20...ean_payton.jpg |
we missed him before the 2 minute warning..... but we love him. Get well Coach Payton!!!!
I'd argue we miss our Defense more.
Well said Strato !!
Im still POd right now, I gotta step away from the TV, sportscenter, and the computer!! Peace!!!! |
I ate some Taco Bell, so I'm over it. On to Indy.
You know how coach likes his pain medicine. Hope he doesn't get too used to popping the Vicodin after this surgery. All we need is for him to be calling plays all pie eyed. Hope he gets well.
Get well soon, Coach. You were definitely missed out there today!
Get better Coach Payton. Hopefully there are no long-term effects and you will be back to running up and down the sidelines again.
He is a young, healthy man. That is all a plus for Coach SP. Here's wishing and praying for him to be successful in his surgery this morning. Good rehabbing of that leg afterwards.
Any word yet? Maybe this should branh off to a new thead. |
You could send get well cards to
Coach Payton 5800 Airline Drive Metairie, LA 70003 |
:crazy:In the meantime I'll call the plays from my living room couch on Sundays...
We were/are very concerned for Coach P! Here's hoping the surgery went great, and he is recovering nicely, and will be back "swords a blazin" a.s.a.p! Our prayers for a speedy recovery are with you, Coach P!
BTW, if you send a card, folks, stick a picture of yourself and/or family in your Saints gear in there if you have one! I'm betting Coach P will appreciate that!

4-6 weeks before putting any weight on it.
That's going to be rough. I can't see him staying away past Wednesday evening. He's going to just insist on a Hoverround, a hovercraft if he can get it. Take it easy coach and let things heal like they should. Follow some of the advice you've been giving over the past few years. Get well and try not to get too excited. OK, just get well then. |
He'll be in the Booth. His energy will be missed on the sidlines though but at least he will be calling the plays.
He'll be good as new after the bye. LOL
"He has a knee"
Loved how he kept his head in the game laying on the ground. He's driven to say the least, he will be on the sidelines as soon as Paytonly possible.
So is he questionable or doubtful for Sunday?

_______________ I think we should all send him a cat to make him feel better. |
I had sympathy surgery on my knee yesterday. I he had half the drugs in him in the second half that I had yesterday i understand why he didn't call any plays in the second half.
Payton's injury is bad news for the rest of the NFL. Our coach will be holed up with all the more time to beef up the playbook and design some crazy end-around flea-flicker screen pass :).
You know this could turn out good for us having Payton in the booth for the next 6-8 weeks. He will get to see exactly what defenses are doing when he sends in certain personnel packages and can make game day corrections instead of waiting to see it on the tape for the next week. I know they see pictures during the game but you don't see the actual moving around of blitzing players. This may help out his play calling tremendously.

As long as he's not roaming the sidelines on a RASCAL...
Unless he thinks that will improve our production, then I'm all for it. Alaska |
