Turnover Ratio

We are now -7 in the turnover ratio. Unless we turn into the giants of 2007 its going to be tuff once we get to the playoffs.

Ways to turn this around.
- Get a run game going
- Get pressure on the QB
- Get INT!!!! (we only have 3 in 6 games)

The season is still young...there is time for improvement.

INTs are there..they just dont catch em...and Chris Ivory might spark our run game..but our lines on both sides of the ball are stinking it up major..O-line is just a bad as the D line...hear that Canton..where are your stats now bud..i want to hear why we cant run the ball and pass protect again..enlighten us will ya..

CantonLegend 10-17-2011 01:53 PM

run the ball more often than 20 times a game with less than 4 different guys

drew needs to quit throwing picks. 3 INTs is inexcusable regardless of whos playing QB

What are the statistics on INTs that were catchable and actually touched by the WR before being picked, and how does that factor in to the QB rating system defined by statistics? I mean...I'm just wondering.

We lost the turnover battle and we lost the game.........coincidence? I think not! How many ways can we say this?

darstep 10-17-2011 03:34 PM

Turnovers are deadly.

Meach was wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide open on the left side of the end zone if Drew just looked to the left instead of throwing into a group of Buccaneer D that last play, right? http://209.85.12.234/7361/20/emo/eusa_doh.gif

Mardigras9 10-17-2011 06:55 PM

We coud have at least two more INTs if "stone hands" Shanle could catch.

foreverfan 10-17-2011 07:24 PM

You can talk about the turnovers, you can talk about the picks, talk about commitment to the run, etc. etc.

It all starts with the line. Both sides are currently sucking A$$, and until that gets fixed it will be up and down for us.

But I will say it felt like someone died when Payton went down. I felt panic like I never have before, watching a Saints game. I don't think the team was prepared for that curve ball (obviously).

strato 10-17-2011 09:14 PM

I think losing Payton had more of an effect than people realize...

I keep saying that as well -- WHO the heck can prepare for that kind of thing?

And the Bucs scored 17 quick points in the second quarter, exactly when the confusion and uncertainty on the Saints sidelines was at its highest. They capitalized on it. Most teams would have crumbled and folded way worse than the Saints did under those circumstances. The coach gets carted off the field on a gurney, and some people keep acting like it was just a regular ordinary game. It wasn't.

We know Brees can run the offense at times but the coach is needed to make critical decesions. He wasn't able to do that for some of the game. His general presence is also needed. The acknowledgement to a player like a pat on the back or a glance of "get your !@#$ together, those things have an impact. The vantage point in the booth will be better but that's probably the ony advantage.
