Biggest Bunch of Cry Babies I've Ever Seen.

I MEAN SOME OF YOU GUYS. YEA I SAID IT.

Folks... when has the Saints defense ever been dominant?

I'm sure Brees would be the first to say that the game was on him. Brees missed a wide open Robert Meachum in the endzone and threw his 3rd INT. Send his packing with Greg Williams? That will solve a lot. :???:

I don't blame the defense. I don't blame the OL. I don't blame no running game. Give Tampa some credit. They deserve it. They beat us. Oh well... it's not the end of the world. I think almost all of the games are going to come down to this. Get used to it and face it, we are not the favorite to win the home field advantage anymore. We need help.

Payton not being on the sideline was huge! We were controlling the game until that. He was in so much pain and drugged by 1/2 time as not to be effective.

It was just one game. Who knows, maybe this is exactly what we needed. Did any of you cry babies think we were going to win them all? I'm sure Euphoria did. :D I scream BS.

At this point the sky isn't falling and you have to dance with who brought ya. No use in pointing fingers. The only thing you can do is regroup and get ready for Indy. Knowing how to handle a loss like this is what being a team is all about... as Tampa showed.

You make a lot of good points FF. I think SP's injury and being loopy on painkillers on the sideline had a lot to do with it. Still the D could've played better, giving up those 3rd & forevers didn't help one bit.

There are two ways to look at this. The Saints didn't make the plays or Tampa did. I know who the Saints are. What I am really worried about is that Tampa may be better than we think. They shut down our offense and defense, controlled the football, caused game changing turnovers and won the game.

Oh well... we owe them big. Can't wait till they come to our house.

Excuse me if I give them credit before blaming our team.

I'd like to see Payton call a game under the influence. He'd have Sproles throwing a pass to Brees like the Waterboy.

Brees checked out of that play. :p

Nov 6th.

Payback.

RailBoss 10-17-2011 07:38 PM

Wait are you saying the Coach took painkillers, The Saints Coach are we talking Sean Payton, My My ! All kidding aside what you say 4ever is true when The Coach was taken off the sidelines the whole tempo of the game went down. It is also a fact that the teams that pressure Brees and get a few sacks on him can neutralize his effectiveness. Without our crafty Coach constantly adjusting we were dead in the water. The one thing that does bother me is the Saints Dr. Deryk Jones reporting on the surgery. Rumor has it he is a descendant from the legendary Dr. Jekyl after all Coach got hit by The Beast.

Dude. That was better than a FTR pre game speech! Hell yea! We need to hang 50 on Indy.

strato 10-17-2011 08:35 PM

This is what us old schoolers know...this is the good times..enjoy it..wanting to bench Drew..fire G.W and the other crap is really just a serious overreaction..Tampon Bay is history and i do give them credit...any givin sunday any team can win..

Im not looking past the Colts..Painter has looked better and better..they will want a fight...and i think we give it to them..

st thomas 10-17-2011 09:13 PM

calling for the coaches heads is a bit silly. that game was as tuff a game to go into. 3rd week on the rd, blown coverages on longest td by curly, wrong defensive calls on the 3rd and longs recievers could'nt get open ,when they were open drew did'nt look there way, coach got ACLed by a beast that was a late hit and blown call by zeerabbs, missed picks by robinson and shanlately that could have made scoring difference. i'm pissed too; but dam we have a ton of football left. GW can get better, should shoulder blame for this loss with his asst's that have to coach better tackling. payton could have been wheelchaired to that dam press box. i'm just having fun on a teed off nite at home still hurts it was ours and we and i said we failed. i'm afraid roof comes off dome on dolts nite. lol

nicebush25 10-17-2011 09:17 PM

if brees found meachem wide open in the back of the endzone i wonder how many on this board would be complaining about the defense? When you give the ball up 4 times to a division opponent in there house they're gonna put up some points.

These are all very good points, but I don't think someone who criticizes our defense is automatically a "crybaby."

QBREES9 10-17-2011 10:58 PM

Relax theirs is a lot of football to be played " Relax all is well "

SaintsRule11 10-17-2011 11:00 PM

On the BRIGHT side, The Buccaneers have to deal with the Bears, then us at home, then the Texans, then the Packers. The Falclowns have to deal with the Lions, then I predict they will give the Colts their first win of the season, then they have to deal with us. I hope next weekend goes perfect for us.

SaintPauly 10-17-2011 11:04 PM

I hear ya! Shucks.... Im already looking for hotels in Indy, and 50 yard line SB tickets! Who's with me??????

This is actually child's play when it comes to whining. We've seen much worse around here. But, I get your points. Deal with it folks, we weren't finishing the season 15-1. The losses were coming from somewhere and this so happens to be one of them. A 10 or 11 win playoff will still be there... and that's when the real games begin.

SaintPauly 10-17-2011 11:14 PM

Agreed. We dont need homefield. Our history has shown that we do great, in below 20 degree temperatures, in january...... :)

SapperSaint 10-17-2011 11:24 PM

Thanks for the reality check FF.

Here is the problem as I see it.

We as Saints fans have been so used to losing, that now, because we have been winning we expect it. Hell, I'd go as far to say we DEMAND it.

In a sick way, the Saints winning the SuperBowl was the worst thing that happened to us as Saints fans. Is it wrong to want the best for our beloved team? By no means. However, our fanhood has turned from insanity into fanatical. Our team will be fine. We can't win the SB every year. What's the point in following a team if they win the big one every year?

Look at how the general public outside of Boston hated the Patriots. I don't want our team to become hated. Plus, losing keeps the bandwagoners to a minimum. :-P

Saintswrath 10-18-2011 01:11 AM

We lost, and even during our best season's Buc's have managed to beat us.. we almost always split with them.. not that big of a deal, it's not like any of their fan's actually saw the game.

I think people forgot how to lose. :bng:

hitta 10-18-2011 03:40 AM

The biggest reason we lost the game yesterday, imo, was the running game. It isn't even the amount of yards we get per game, or the average yards per run of the running backs. I've been noticing a trend for the last few weeks. We try to run the ball on an early down, we get nothing at all. We throw a short pass on the other early down and get like 3 or 4 and then we are set up with a medium sized 3rd down that we sometimes fail to pick up. If we could get some level of consistency on early downs we win that game easy. Our normally potent offense, is shooting itself in the foot. One of the main reasons we've still been putting up pretty good offensive numbers is Brees being amazing on 3rd downs.

I remember that defence like it was yesterday, LB's that lived to break you in two..& did .those were also SB caliber teams that just failed to do it when it counted. home field & a bye did not help one of those teams eaither. Nice to have but far from guarantee to move on even with that better then we have now D. I have faith DB & clan will correct our redzone play then the SB will be within reach.

Hear hear...for those who didn't notice on Sunday, OUR COACH GOT CARRIED OFF ON A CART -- and Tampa exploited that.

Euphoria 10-18-2011 10:57 AM

We had dominate Defense under Jim Mora didn't we???

We have had good to really good D's before duh.

Euphoria 10-18-2011 11:00 AM

I love that you can be a fan and state your opinion and get called cry baby on this forum.

I know my opinions would be blasted but someone needed to start calling our shotty Defense.

I seem to ever have the most popular opinion by I am usually right.
