MICKLES: Saints miss opportunity in South
TAMPA, Fla. - For a team that had won four consecutive games and were on a decent roll going into their matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the fortunes of the New Orleans Saints changed rather quickly Sunday.
And almost as suddenly as Sean Payton had his left leg snapped by three players in an unfortunate sideline collision, the fortunes of the Bucs turned as well. After limping all the way home from the West Coast six days earlier with a 48-3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers sticking in the back of their minds, the Bucs looked more like the Saints. Yep. Big missed opportunity, but all is certainly not lost. I still like our chances.

You know, three on the road is hard; but the schedule makers didn't do us any favors scheduling a division rival and prime challenger to the division on the third leg of a three-week straight road trip...
