Wednesday's injuries
- a little thin on the d-line.
Good news if Thomas is back NEW ORLEANS SAINTS Practice Report DID NOT PARTICIPATE IN PRACTICE Wednesday DT Sedrick Ellis (ankle), TE John Gilmore (neck), LB Will Herring (hamstring), C Olin Kreutz (not injury related), DE Turk McBride (shoulder), T Zach Strief (knee), LB Jonathan Vilma (knee) LIMITED PARTICIPATION IN PRACTICE Wednesday TE David Thomas (concussion) |
Vilma's knee injury is the most frightening. He's been playing on that injury for a few games now.

And its showing ...maybe let Dunbar get the start and let him heal up...i hope Wilson gets to play some as well...Junyah should keep seeing some playing time as well...

Not a bad idea, because the Colts the Saints will be facing this week are miles apart from the Colts with Manning calling the shots with an audible to the audible's audible... Dunbar would probably do a fine job with calling the audibles for the D in this game. |
Keep your eye on the area of field just behind our linebackers this Sunday. It will get a lot of play.
Last year; running backs. This year; linebackers. Alaska |
I'm a little concerned about Charlie Brown against Mathis and Freeney
These two need to be chipped, or only have 3-4 in the pattern with a TE and/or RB left to help pass protect |

I just hope that the team is concerned as well (duh, I'm sure they are), and take the neccessary precautions and address it. This would be a blow to everyone's pyschy (organizational, players, fans, etc.) if we should come away with a loss in either of the next two games. They should come into these games as if to make a statement. Not a "We have been rattled and now have to blow everyone out" statement, but a "No matter what happens we are focused on one goal, and we aren't going anywhere" statement. Is it Sunday yet? I hate this waiting crap!!!!!! |

I want to see the Vanilla Gorilla Charleston play. Players usually play well against their former team.

Dunbar has done a very good job covering for Vilma when he is out. No drop-off in production at all. Vilma seems slower to me. He was slow recovering from that groin thing last year. I'm trying to identify a standout on our defense and coming up blank. Harper would fit the bill except for his cover skills. We have nobody that's setting it off! ...So far. Just can't give up yet. Somebody may awake out of sleep and then wake everybody else up. |

I would be a little concerned with any tackle against those bookends, but Brown is (supposedly) at his best in pass protection, so if DLP starts at center, maybe the Saints can run more effectively off guard through the middle, which could make the DEs rush more hesitantly and make the play action more effective. The key is probably getting the ball out of Brees' hands as quickly as possible with slants and quick outs, and an effective running game coupled with play action should give Brees a little more time to pick apart the Colts' backfield. I've got to say that Brown has been performing above my expectations - while that is not saying much - and it could be that with a few more games his nerves might start to calm down eliminating those false start calls. Still, I'd be interested in seeing McQuistan in action - either as the RT or as an extra lineman to help out Brown. |
I just want us to get a win & no one else get injured
