Does anybody feel sorry this morning for what we did last night?

Because I sure as hell don't!
After 40+ years of having it done to us, it was good to see us put a slam dunk an opponent. It may turn out to be a one hit wonder, but I'm going to enjoy every second of it this week. And I hope we do it again next week!

Im still digesting it..lol

pherein 10-24-2011 09:10 AM

yeah, I kind of wanted 70

Beastmode 10-24-2011 09:26 AM

No. We put in our backup QB and punted in field goal range. What else are the Saints supose to do? It's the Colts own fault for not grooming another QB behind one of the greatest in the game is how I see it. And their gameplan was flawed. Going in a no huddle offense in one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL as Collins said was a bad decesion.

Kryptonite 10-24-2011 09:28 AM

Yes, I feel sorry! Sorry, that its already over. Hell, I didn't want it to stop. That was like gazing into briefcase of Mr. Wallace. I could not turn away from it. It was a thing of beauty..

spkb25 10-24-2011 09:28 AM

Hell the **** no. I hate them!!

SaintsBro 10-24-2011 09:30 AM

Actually I was kind of hoping this meltdown last night might lead to getting coach Caldwell fired! Payton has caused the ouster of other teams' coaches before. Remember the dude who was in Atlanta before Mike Smith -- after playing the Saints he just up and quit, when he got schooled by Payton on national TV, LOL.

My memory is not that short. In 2003 the Colts beat the Saints...55-21. So, no, what goes around comes around!!!! It just took a couple of years.

jcp026 10-24-2011 10:49 AM

I don't feel sorry. We didn't try to run up the score, it just happened. The Colts have a chance to draft Luck, so they'll be a great team for the next 15 years and this will be forgotten.

ScottF 10-24-2011 11:09 AM

could have been much worse...

saintfan 10-24-2011 11:29 AM

I would have rather we saved it for the Failclowns - but am I upset? Hell no.

darstep 10-24-2011 11:31 AM

Not at all!
I oughta make those guys run laps for not putting up 82.

DblBogey 10-24-2011 11:39 AM

Yes I feel really sorry and am terribly upset . . . that every running back and every reciever on our team didn't score 2 TDs apiece and anyone else that could have, like each "D" player. The only question I have in the morning after is, are we that good or is Indy that sorry.

Bingo. Manning is plastered the Saints 55-21 and 41-10 in the last two regular season meetings. It's one of the reasons that very few gave the Saints a chance in SBXLIV.

And to echo: this is the Colts fault. They put all their eggs in Manning's basket. He got all the reps all the time. They never drafted or groomed a true successor. They build a defense that's only designed to play from ahead. Honestly do you think the Saints would be as bad as the Colts if Daniel had to step up and play a game or two? What we've seen lately is that the train would keep right on rolling.

So do I feel sorry? Not one bit.

We know they can play like this every week, there lies the frustration when they don't. Maybe they turn it around and continue dominating from this point.

I was going to post the same thing. The Colts took us to the woodshed at our place in 2003. It was just plain embarrassing.

Rodney Harrison was talking with Tony Dungy on the pregame and said that the Colts had not mailed it in on the season. I disagree. They may still be trying, but your can tell that it is in their heads that they can't win without Manning.

Turn the coin over: Does anyone think the Colts wouldn't have done the exact same thing to the Saints if they were able to?

Walk-through for the Failcon game.

halloween 65 10-24-2011 04:49 PM

My guess is the Colts. As for me, no. I woke up feeling damn good about last night. Makes me proud to be a Saints fan, feels good to be a contender year after year, beats the old days. No matter if we win or lose, I believe.

jlouhill 10-24-2011 05:07 PM

Nope, not one itty, bitty bit!
The only thing that upsets me today is that some are saying we ran up the score. No we didn't. Running up the score would have been leaving Drew and Co. in until the final whistle and passing on most plays right up to the end. Also, we didn't run up the score because we didn't score in the 80's which is exactly what would have happened if we hadn't taken our foot off the gas.

Belair57 10-24-2011 05:20 PM

NO WAY JOSE!!! I would feel like my life was complete if we could just do that to the Seahawks next time we play them...then I can die in peace.

homerj07 10-24-2011 08:01 PM

We did not throw a pass for nearly the last 17 minutes of the game. We tried to cut back. Is it the team's fault that Painter threw an Int (were we suppose to drop it?) Is it our fault they can't stop the run??

I do not feel bad in the least!!
