Think the Saints will repeat Sunday's performance against the Rams?

The Rams are a worse team than the Colts, if that is possible.

I would love to see the Saints hang at least 40 points and a shut-out on the Rams Sunday. Remember the Rams held the Packers scoreless for an entire half a couple weeks ago.

JoanieNTX 10-26-2011 02:16 PM

I just wanna see us shut SOMEBODY out! I know we can, I know we can, I know we can. LOL! We don't need to worry about their feelings...they sure wouldn't worry 'bout ours! ;)

Beastmode 10-26-2011 02:26 PM

I could see it happening. Bradford has been put in the dirt 21 times and they have yet to score more than 16 pts in a game. Last time the Saints scored less than 16 pts with the starters? Week 1 against the Vikes last year and we still won. It really depends on how much fight the Rams have left. If it's close at half time I could see them make a game of it.

neugey 10-26-2011 02:41 PM

not too sure it will be a blowout. our offense is clicking and we should win in some fashion, even a comeback if necessary. u have to get some defensive stops and have good breaks happen to completely blow the game out like last Sunday night.

Only one thing on the Rams that scares me...Steven Jackson...stop him and it wont be close..

This is the way I feel. I don't care if they have to throw a bomb, kick an onside kick, throw another bomb, kick another onside kick, throw another bomb and win. As long as they get the W.

halloween 65 10-26-2011 04:21 PM

I think we win on all sides of the ball but as much as I would like a big blowout I don't think it will be as bad as the Colts game. I want to see some sound defense, I don't worry so much with the offense as long as we don't throw int's.

Mardigras9 10-26-2011 05:37 PM

Steven Jackson and our run D? We should outscore them at the least, is Bradford even going to play this week?

pho-0-too 10-26-2011 06:04 PM

I hope so cuz I'll be there to watch my first ever Saints game! WHO DAT!!!

homerj07 10-26-2011 06:57 PM

Jackson will get his runs & May even get over 100 - BUT he is the key He will need 400 yards for St L to win.

OR - another 3 int day by Drew (this one worries me!)

saintfan 10-26-2011 07:10 PM

No, in a word. I think hanging 60 on any team in the NFL is a fluke combination of skill and luck. I don't think it's very likely.

...but we might just score 40, and I'd be okay with that.

|Mitch| 10-26-2011 08:18 PM

It's unsure whether or not Bradford will play Sunday, even if he does he isn't going to be at 100%. They're going to rely even more heavily on the run game... We get ahead and force Bradford or whoever maybe the quarterback to throw and we easily win.

I hope that the offense continues clicking like last week. I also hope the defense continues to focus on the basics; see how well they played last weekend!

I hope they do. Oh hell they will.

MatthewT 10-27-2011 01:15 AM

There is no way in the world I am going to predict a blowout like the Colts game, but the Saints should be able to take care of business early in this one. I just don't see the Rams as a big threat, but of course they are an NFL team so they are not to be taken lightly. If the Rams are able to keep it close then it could get very sticky for the Saints. The worse thing in the world for the Saints in this game is for Steven Jackson and Cadillac Williams to get cranked. The way to stop that is to jump on them and be done with it. As much as I love Sam Bradford, he simply has very little to work with in the passing game this year.

Fleured 10-27-2011 06:05 AM

yeah, stack the box for Jax and Caddy and it should be gravy. Drew will have yet another comfy dome environment to repeat last Sunday night's performance. Maybe not 62 but I think a lot of personnel will get their touches...

Marlboro Man 10-28-2011 12:57 AM

The Saints said last week that they wanted to become the team they were going to be starting with that game. If that's the case, then yes, I'd expect them to put up at least 40 + points to the 7 or less points they allowed the Colts.

spkb25 10-28-2011 08:14 AM

Just hope we win. Little worried because we are away and we blew up last week. Plus we have two big games coming up after this one. I am hoping we don't come out flat.

I don't care if it is by one point, just get the frickin W!

xan 10-28-2011 10:18 AM

If our secondary actually tried to stand up a ball carrier instead of diving at his feet, I would not be scared of anyone. Driving high through a tackle, though you may not bring the guy down, will delay the runner long enough so that your teammates can close in and stop extra yards.

You'd be surprised how effective that is and how little it hurts.

Just a thought.

oh, yeah, 42-10.

spkb25 10-28-2011 11:08 AM

I really don't see how we can loose to these guys, they have absolutely 0 offense, but God I have seen worse.

the-commish 10-28-2011 11:25 AM

Hopefully, this game won't be close.

BUT... last time the Saints played the Rams in St. Louis in 2009 (BB-before Bradford) it took a great game from Reggie Bush, a kickoff return TD from Courtney Roby, and an INT from Usama Young to win 28-23 (too close for comfort). Two of these three players no longer wear black and gold.

Let's hope this one gets settled before halftime. Maybe the Saints will get the ball first for the first time this season?

NOLA54 10-28-2011 12:04 PM

If all they have is Jackson then they are one dementional. This will present the opportunity for us to focus on the running game. As for the Pack being shutout in the first half by the Rams, I think the Saints are better than the Packers despite their 7 -0 start. The Saints will score at least 40 & the Rams will score no more than 7.

crawgator 10-28-2011 12:16 PM

We need to tackle... Stephen Jackson is deadly... What we have to do is play so if Bradford is out then they are definitly gonna try to run the ball... Can we hang 40+ on them sure.. But I would like to see a goose egg on the defensive side for us....

My Prediction = Saints 42 Rams 6

Harper seems to be the one guy back there who will actually bang with the bruisers, and steps up to the challenge when presented. That gut is always soft and tender, more so than a knee to the Riddell if you miss going low.
Bite down on that mouth piece and go for it! Oh yea, keep your eyes open.
They should be getting good practice licks from Ivory.
I keep forgetting the new "full pad" limits in practice.
They couldn't tackle last year so that can't be it.

SAINTstunna 10-28-2011 01:10 PM

I don't want just a W' I want a convincing win over another horrible team. Our defense needs to feed off energy from last week and match or beat their performance. We need to make another statement sunday. ESPECIALLY THE DEFENSE. TWO DATT!!!!!!!!!

saintfan 10-28-2011 01:25 PM

34-14 Saints

JoanieNTX 10-28-2011 02:48 PM

Ima go with 40 - 10. :)

Both teams were scoreless in the 2nd half.
