Saints RB Ingram, LB Vilma sit out of Wednesday’s practice
Bradley Handwerger / WWLTV.com Sports Reporter
METAIRIE, La. – Running back Mark Ingram and linebacker Jonathan Vilma both sat out practice Wednesday, the only two players to miss practice ahead of Sunday’s home game against Tampa Bay. Ingram missed his fourth consecutive practice with a bruised right heel while Vilma was out once again with a left knee injury. Vilma has missed practices for much of the past six weeks but has played in all but one game since the Week 2 injury. Two key players returned full to practice, though – right tackle Zach Strief (right knee) and tight end David Thomas (concussion). Both have been out since their Sept. 25 injuries in the Houston game Saints RB Ingram, LB Vilma sit out of Wednesday |
Glad Strief is coming back...and kinda knew Vilma was gimpy.

Hopefully just a day of additional rest for Ingram and Vilma.

We need Strief, Vilma and Thomas back for this game we need a big win this week a and next.

I was wondering why Vilma was a 1/2 step off, glad to see Strief and Thomas back

I just don't know why he grades out well in pass defense but grades out poorly in run defense. I'd think a bum knee would affect his pass coverage skills moreso than run defense skills. From what I've seen he seems to be either a step late or he's over-running run plays. Its definitely not the Jonathan Vilma we're all used to seeing. |
