Horrible Officiating!!!!

What a giant load of horse turds I just witnessed from the officials. There are three bad calls that stand out, all of which went against us.

1. The most egregious call, by far, was that totally bogus phantom holding call which erased a John Kasay field goal. Bogus!

2. Phantom PI call on Tracy Porter which sustained a Falcons drive late in the game. The slightest possible nudge as Porter is covering the pass play? Really? That's Pass Interference?

3. Lance Moore was clearly hooked and pushed by the Falcon defender prior to the ball getting there, so the ref throws the flag, then the other refs come over to have a powwow and take back the flag? WTF???

HORRIBLE OFFICIATING! When is something going to be done about this????

I'm pleased with the outcome but the game was a mess and I think the officials have it in for us this year. Is the NFL rigged?

Euphoria 11-13-2011 04:11 PM

Horrible calls on both sides...

At least they almost even out. We had 2 that went for us as well.

|Mitch| 11-13-2011 04:12 PM

Jordan and Smith were constantly being held on their way to hitting Matt Ryan, did they have a holding called on them any?

homerj07 11-13-2011 04:12 PM

I agree I am sick of getting *** up the buttocks by the zebras every week

pherein 11-13-2011 04:17 PM

yeah, its getting out of hand, but porter did hit him before he touched the ball, so you might want to let that one go. The Graham holding call was just stupid

Srgt. Hulka 11-13-2011 04:22 PM

This is every game we play. I think the officials need to be fined gor every suck call they make.

strato 11-13-2011 04:25 PM

Like how Payton used that crunch to signal first down...lol...he might pop a ref with one before its over...

lol, yeah, I was happy to see him go to bat for the Ingram tackle, the play was over for 20 seconds and they still drove him to the ground, thats how players get hurt.

That play looked like a setup. The fact that their coach was signalling 'holding' before the call was announced, combined with the acting job of the rusher on the outside, tells me that they went into that play luring the referees into the call. My guess is Smith told the refs to watch Graham because he had been holding, a great acting job by the rusher, and the refs make the poor call.

Cruize 11-13-2011 04:49 PM

The PI call on White was one that went the Saints way. I saw a couple more but the Saints are definitely on the losing end from the ref's every week.

I wrote this earlier today before the game. I am so with you!

"An honest concern for me is the refs. They have a bad bad habit of giving generous spots to this Falcons team, do not know why. I am scared there will be one bad PF, one bad PI, and one bad spot. I never like to blame the refs, but I hope this doesn't happen today, but boy am I worried of it"

I knew that **** was going to happen

I dunno, I was kind of impressed with the officiating today all things considered. We usually get hosed every single time. I thought it was a miracle they overturned that 1st down towards the end in overtime, and they even called Roddy push off on his BS a couple times. I have seen worse that is for sure.

I think what had me livid was the picked up flag on int against LM, then the totally hosed holding call on JG. The porter PI too on Roddy Roddy Pipers Pit

They did get the 4rth and inches call right, and that was huge

pgray3 11-14-2011 06:05 AM

Question. Do they not do a 10 second clock runoff for offensive penalties under 2 minutes anymore? Or is that only under a minute. The Falcons had a false start on that last drive of regulation with about a 1:15 and there was no runoff.

RockyMountainSaint 11-14-2011 06:25 AM

I am STILL pissed that Devery was called for holding because he pancaked a Tampa Bay db on what should have been a Sproles TD!

One, for sure, was the offensive PI call against ATL... don't remember which player.

Refs blew a bunch of calls, including several they could have called against N.O., but missed.
I'm just glad we got the W despite the poor officiating.
It's very frustrating when bogus flags sustain drives that were about to be punted away!!

alleycat_126 11-14-2011 07:16 AM

Face it ladies and gents the officials in this years season don't want us to blow teams out. NFL wanted this game to be close. Like it always is. We'll get a good chance to watch on NFL films Wed. or Thurs. every time we got the ball with good field position their were calls in their favor.

jnormand 11-14-2011 07:36 AM

It's been bad. Especially on third downs for the opposing team. The refs are single handedly keeping teams' drives alive against us. Hell during this last game I found myself holding my breath on every third down stop and even on punt returns!

RaginCajun83 11-14-2011 08:41 AM

Refs suck every week, move along nothing to see here

saintfan 11-14-2011 12:51 PM

I just refuse to believe that the Refs call games based on some league agenda, although I find so many calls outrageous enough to completely understand why some would.

To believe that would negate my passion for the game. What I do believe is that they are human, they make plenty of mistakes and I blame the league by and large for having them enforce playground rules on grown men playing a violent game.

They blow plenty, but any game on any week also offers up tons of evidence the supports just how amazingly good the refs are from one play to the next.

And that's what's eating me. It is your fault - you predicted it. Anti-mojo bro' ;)

UK_WhoDat 11-14-2011 03:24 PM

I don't like to get into this blame the officiating ting cos it means I ain't paying attention to the Saints. But the last 2 weeks I have been moaning and groaning at dem zebras.

On the balance of play, the zebras screwed the Saints big time last week v Bucs (wasn't the Bucs holding on every play?), and this week they kept the game running by stalling the Saints. I am half-expecting to see sponsors stuff on their uniforms cos that must be the reason they are helping Saints opponents stay in games.
