How about looking at jevon kearse and champ baily to help solidify our defense?

Why would we need Kearse? We already have two good starting pass rushers, and Whitehead is a good rotational 3rd man.

From what I hear, they are looking at Champ Bailey. Although apparently the lions wanted him, and the Redskins asked for this years 1st round pick, 2nd round pick, plus a player or additional pick.

Giving up a first and second rounder to get Champ would be insane, with so many top corners likely on the market this year.

Keep in mind that Champ stated in a TV interview last year that he wants to play on the same team as his brother, Boss Bailey, who happens to be a linebacker for the Detroit Lions, and they are in need of a CB.
EDIT: Guess I could read the story first, everything I stated was in the article :casstet:

Champ Bailey value is a little high for me. He turned down a 14 mill sign bonus twice, once from redskins the other from the falcons. I would prefer 2 cb (Ahmed Plummer & Shawn Springs) instead of the cost for one CB, Bailey or Woodson.
