Dennis Allen
Even though Tim Tebow is getting most of the attention in Denver, Hats of to former Saints assistant defensive secondary and current Broncos Defensive coordinator Dennis Allen. Doing a great Job in Denver. Wish we still had him, but proud that a former Who Dat coach is doing well. Now lets pray that our quality coaches don't continue to be hired away.

I have to agree with you aquaboogie. Denver's defense looked very good last night.
|
Having two of the best pass rushers in the game certainly helps... he has some solid building blocks over there. Good for him.

They are winning despite Tebow

What's ironic is that Tebow is starting out his career much like Orton. Orton was a terrible passer but yet he just kept winning games... ugly.
|
I'm glad Tebow is winning. And I hope he keeps winning, as long as the Broncos don't play us of coarse. Everybody in the world said that he wasn't good enough to play in the NFL. I hope he proves them all wrong.

I don't like Tebow. I confess this is because of his college days. I still don't like Tebow, but I gotta admit, after watching him play a few games at the pro level ...
THIS DUDE SUCKS... Which makes me feel kinda sorry for him...I'm almost feeling so bad for him that I'm pulling for him, which is a complete turnabout for me. |

The guy had everyone in the stands screaming for him all season long and never as loud as last night. He was ecstatic last night. |

Vince Young's career started out on a tear and look where it lead. I believe Michael Vick had a great rookie campaign, then it slowly deteriorated. Hell even his first year back after jail he caught everyone by surprise again, then it's back to the status quo. You could say the same thing for other sports as well. Remember that Nomo character in baseball years ago who had an unorthodox style and was unhittable for awhile? But after a month or two hitters adjusted to his style and the rest is history. IMO, the Broncos have been fortunate over the last few weeks and Tebow has definitely had some heroics, and everyone is buying in. But you just can't sustain weekly comeback victories in this league. Sooner or later the odds are going to catch up with Timmy, and when the fans realize that even with his amazing comebacks they won't be better than .500, the coaches will have to sit him (or get 'sat' themselves). I'm happy for the kid to have beaten the odds thus far, but I have to be honest, I'm getting a little sick of seeing a Tebow prayer every five seconds. We get it dude, you believe in an invisible man in the sky. I almost wish another player would start praising the devil after a TD or something just to illustrate how ridiculous it is. |

I agree it is pretty funny. I honestly can't think of how one could visibly worship the devil, maybe point to the ground and snarl? If Tebow's career fizzles out are we to assume that Lucifer has defeated him? To illustrate the absurdity, could you imagine if Usama Young starts visibly worshipping Allah after each pick 6? He crosses the goalline, drops down to his knees in the endzone, starts bowing and chanting Allah Akbar (assumedly pointing toward Mecca, maybe he has a compass?). Then, all of the Saints players gather around him in the endzone and start bowing, kneeling, yelling 'Allah Akbar!'. Then the camera pans to the sideline again after the PAT and Young is still bowing and chanting 'Allah Akbar' as the announcers fawn over him. Save it for church dude, its embarrassing. |
NO church and field...

I get your point though. |

So if a player asks for and truly believes that they received divine outside assistance from an all powerful deity... I mean, how is that not cheating? How can the other team overcome you invoking the power of an all mighty god? Steroids have nothing on that. So, every time a player gives a point up to heaven and gives the glory to god, they should get suspended for cheating. Quote:

"I think he's a winner and I respect that about him," Plummer told 910-AM. "I think that when he accepts the fact that we know that he loves Jesus Christ, then I think I'll like him a little better. I don't hate him because of that, I just would rather not have to hear that every time he takes a good snap or makes a good handoff."
Tebow, in his response to the comments, which he said he had not heard about before the interview, said he appreciated Plummer calling him a winner and compared his faith with marriage. "If you're married and you have a wife and you really love your wife, is it good enough to only say to your wife 'I love her' the day you get married? Or should you tell her every single day when you wake up and every opportunity? That's how I feel about my relationship with Jesus Christ."
