Saints on the Verge of breaking an all time NFL record silently.
The Saints are currently on pace for 6,990 yards of total offense this season.
That means they're in striking distance of the all-time NFL record for offense in a season, which is 7,075 yards from the 2000 St. Louis Rams, a.k.a. the Greatest Show on Turf. To beat them, the Saints would have to average only about 15 yards per game more in the last 6 games than they have in the first 10. With 4 of the 6 at home, there's a real shot. Since we all know how the Saints stopped that team that year — Hakim drops the ball! — it would be fitting if we could also dethrone them from the record. |
I'd like the record for most points scored in a Super Bowl. This year.
Nice find, SW! Thanks for sharing. Alaska |
