Just think of the possibilities with all 4 backs active on game-day..!

foreverfan 11-22-2011 06:43 PM

I put all 4 of them in the game behind Brees at the same time and then throw it to Henderson.

The quad option?! lol

ScottF 11-22-2011 07:33 PM

wildcat

but seriously, since Ivory & Ingram can't/don't play ST, this is a tough call

jnormand 11-22-2011 08:22 PM

Bench them all and get Gil Fenerty out of retirement.

You're right, its a tough call. I think Ingram brings more to the table, but if Ivory is 100% healthy and if last year was no fluke, I don't know how we can't at least give him a few carries.

He is not a fluke..:D

Give it to Ivory and let him pound it. The more he plays the better his resume and we can use that to our advantage in the off season.

Pound it UNTIL he goes out again. If he gains 500 yards before the end of the season, he's a keeper. If he goes down, soft or hard, consider life without him.

Ivory needs the Reps definitely before we face Tampa and ATL back to Back Games, Hopefully he can keep his body from shattering to pieces from tackles, i wonder what Sproles Conditioning is that every other RB on our Roster doesn't have? perhaps we should be hiring whoever Conditions Sproles to personnel.

Cruize 11-23-2011 07:33 AM

Ivory or one less FB, OL, or DL active on gameday. But, like Ingram being nicked up, these things have a way of working themselves out.

TheOak 11-23-2011 07:56 AM

Quadruple Reverse....

I love the way you think! I've been wishing for something like that for a while now. And if i see Graham as the leading receiver for the game again I'm gonna hurt somebody. We say we have a "good problem" with our RB's, but we tend to forget that we have the same (maybe even gooder) "good problem" with our WRs also, we just aren't using them anymore.

gooder = spelled that way intentionally.

SmashMouth 11-23-2011 12:41 PM

They can use one as a TE since Thomas just went on IR.

CheramieIII 11-23-2011 04:57 PM

I say keep all four of them active and let's pound the GiANTS into submission.

AllSaints 11-23-2011 05:31 PM

Pierre first quarter Ivory 2nd Ingram 3rd Sproles 4th.... Thats how we should go about it ha

even with 4 PRO BOWL rb's we couldn't do that with our OL

95shakinpf 11-26-2011 05:52 AM

I read a comment somewhere that Pierre Thomas should be taken out of rotation.

wait...WHAT!! Has this person been watching the games that Thomas plays in? Last year I saw Pierre go down by one defenders tackle, but this year it takes 2-3 dfenders to take him down! Hes playing intellegent and strong this year. I say split Igram and Ivory"s carries and stick with Sproles and Thomas.
Maybe some disagree, but thats how I see it.

I haven't read that anywhere but I don't doubt it. There are idiots everywhere.

Pierre Thomas is the most underrated RB in the NFL in my eyes, and the best RB we have on our roster.

dasaints26 11-26-2011 03:49 PM

Talk about good grouping our top 3 RBs are ranked #35 and tied for #36.
Sproles is averaging 6.8 yds per carry with 348 total yds
Ingram is avg 3.7 per carry with 340 total yds
Thomas is avg 4.7 per carry with 340 total yds

Thomas is avg 4.7 per carry this season exactly his career avg over 483 rushing attempts. Sounds like he is consistent.
