If he clears waivers I think the saints should sign him as a FA. Thoughts?

Can he play LB?

I can think of a couple of other teams who might pursue him harder. Houston, Chicago maybe Chiefs??

Houston is trying out Jeff G.....they have tried 6 QBs out this week

I'd pick up Orton just so one of our competitors doesn't. Release him three weeks later.

I actually like Orton and would be happier with him as Brees backup than Daniel.

I doubt the Saints have a shot, but if they did they should take it. I like Daniel. I believe he can get the job done. But, I have a stronger belief that Orton could get the job done better.

We're fine with Daniel, I think.

Back up QB is like a spare tire...... Waste of space until you need the dam thing.
