this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; 12 wins = NFC South Champs No matter what else happens, we get to 12 and we win the NFC South. Even if the Saints and Falcons both finish 12-4, it would come down to the 3rd tiebreaker (common games) ...

12 wins = NFC South Champs
No matter what else happens, we get to 12 and we win the NFC South. Even if the Saints and Falcons both finish 12-4, it would come down to the 3rd tiebreaker (common games) since the head-head and divisional records would be the same. We would have the same results as the Falcons in common games with the exception of the Bears game - we beat them and ATL lost. Throw in 1 Cowboys loss with 12 Saints wins and we are guaranteed no worse than the #3 seed. |
