New Orleans Saints found tough times taught them how to win
ALLEN PARK — With Detroit zooming to a 5-0 start thanks to some big comeback wins, then 2-4 over the next six games, the question has been asked throughout the season if the Lions are contenders or pretenders.
New Orleans fans asked themselves the same questions about the Saints before they won Super Bowl XLIV, which launched them into the NFL's elite, along with teams like New England, Green Bay and Indianapolis (with Peyton Manning, of course). Detroit reminds me of us in 1993 - we jumped out to a 5-0 start & then finished the season 8-8. I think our QB was Wade Wilson (eck!!)
