A letter to Sean Payton
|
No offense to the writer, but I really don't think Coach P will be taking play calling advise from someone who THINKS they know what is going on. If the writer is so good at calling plays, then why doesn't he go get a coaching job.
Everyone has their right to an opinion, but acting as though you know more than a coach of Sean's caliber is just annoying. |

Wouldn't it be nice if every play you called worked. Most you can hope for, IMO, is for a coach who has a high % of being right and being able to move the ball most of the time and that is what we have. |

Dude, you're a writer. Coach Payton is a Super Bowl winning NFL Football coach. REALLY

Dear Mr. Colston,
You are clutch on third down, and usually do a great job, but sometimes you have a drop. Please stop that. Oh, and tell number 9 that even though he is really good, he should stop throwing the occasional interception. Sincerely, A moron |
I thought it was more tounge -n- cheek. This guy knows he is a moron - Look how he sigend the article "a guy with a laptop & a bag of chips"
AND to be honest during the LIVE chat in the games we have all said the same thing. "A guy with a laptop & bag of beef jerky" |
if this guy writes another letter to SP questioning passing on third down with less than 2 min to go when your opponenet has no TO's, I might have to agree
|
"Second, tell Gregg Williams to stop blitzing so much. He’s the other reason you almost lost that game."
Only thing I'll give him partial credit for. |
You're doing fine coach pay them no mind..........proceed as planned!

Well I can't really complain about William's defense--people whined about it all year-long in 2009 too. They really don't quite have the character of that year, but for the most part, they've gotten the job done, kept the other side from getting MORE points than Drew.
I've got to agree about the clutch plays where they run up the middle, though in general I think they really have to try hard to call running plays. I'd just like to see more creative running plays than as he says "up the gut." All and all, I've heard a lot of whining and whinging this year, and after 40ish years of watching, I'm pretty happy with what we've got. I still think the Saints' are the only team that can, on a good day, keep up with Green Bay. Hell, the first game we were eight points down, on the half-yard line, about as close as you can get. So, let's just hope we can get the win against MN, and if I had a complaint, it'd be to do something different than you do normally, when you play teams with losing records. Maybe you don't try as hard, maybe you take more time off. But MN has been playing up to some pretty good teams, so don't look ahead. And seriously, when we play Atlanta again, we should be beating them by 14-17 points, especially at home--we need to finish this thing out running full-bore, like GB does every game, and hope for a loss of SF against Pittsburgh next week. I'm thinking Jacksonville might even do us another favor this Thursday night, and beat Fatlanta!! Have you seen Jax's schedule? No wonder they've only won 4! |
