Detroit Lions' Brandon Pettigrew apologizes after penalty vs. New Orleans Saints
ALLEN PARK, Mich.—Detroit Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew says he's sorry for his actions in the team's loss at New Orleans.
Pettigrew was called for a personal foul in the fourth quarter of Detroit's 31-17 loss. He made contact with an official who was trying to get between him and New Orleans Saints safety Roman Harper after the whistle. screw those undisciplined thugs- that was like watching the Miami Hurricanes or the Raiders, after the talent got old: they're taunting and talking, meanwhile they're down 3 scores. Pettigrew was talking after every play |

I can't point to an example from memory, but I swear that in the old days even just TOUCHING an official used to mean automatic ejection....

Actually, we were playing rough after the whistle and got under their skin and they were undisciplined and got the call. There were several plays I watched where we could have easily gotten a flag. I imagine the refs are going to watch us closer down the stretch.
