Oh well, he would have been too expensive anyway.

Rekon what Deuce and his agent think about all this?

I can never understand how the Redskins make these moves and stay under the cap.
Portis will be highest-paid running back Portis will sign an eight-year deal that is worth $50.5 million and includes $17 million in combined signing and option bonuses.... http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/column...len&id=1748249 Every year they spend big time moulah on big names and seem stay out of trouble with the cap gods. |

I sure hope that Trotter becomes a cap casualty though. If we don\'t make a move on Robaire Smith we\'re going to be in the same place we always are come draft day--no significant free agency moves. |

It\'s because they dump other big name players (see Champ Bailey, Stephen Davis, etc.) at the same time. Plus, I think they pay their line about $750,000 collectively.

The Redskins line is actually very talented, they were just poorly coached. Samuels, Thomas & Jansen could be probowl players every year.
They actually have a lot of money wrapped up in that line BTW. |

The Redskins line is horrible. Whether its bad coaching or whatever, they were maybe the worst in the league last year

I\'ll give you that it was coaching. I use that same excuse as to why we suck. All that talent...it must be coaching. Yes, they have talent, but talent didn\'t help Ramsey or the tread marks left on him. I know what I saw and that was god-awful.
