The bend but don't break defense allows for considerable yards. If that's our path then so be it. But the offense needs to come out hot every game and make the other team play catch up the rest of the game. No more of this getting into a groove late in the game.
These clutch plays build character and confidence in a defense that really needs a little swagger. However, we don't want to go to the well too often.

I might point out that those two big plays came on deep-prevent defenses. Why do we do that when an opponent is desperate for yards. It's like committing to tackling after the catch and nothing else.

I'd rather see tight coverage and break up the obvious pass or THEN make the tackle.

Very frustrating. GW should know better.
