WHERE'S THE SWAGGER?
We have the number one offense and are 10-3 coming off a difficult stretch of games. In 2009 this team had swagger that started with the battle between the offense and GW's new defense in training camp. Coming off a Superbowl win we started off with swagger in 2010. My question is where's the swagger this year?
Do we have it and I just don't see it? |
You're about to be told we need to fly "under the radar" in ...
3..2..1... Alaska |
Swagger, I settle for a top 8 defense; but you asked for it...

Gone, Gone, Gone. I don't have a clue, but I wish we could find it.

I think certain players gave us "swagger" & they are no longer with us.
This team seems more... determined?? BLue Collar maybe? (If a #1 "O" can be considered "Blue Collar") |
We're flying under radar and doing something funky with our hands.

just win baby, swagger comes soon

You ever see Colston after every reception? Even if that reception is a TD?
How about Jenkins or Harper after a big hit? Jimmy Graham after any catch? Now that I think about it, I think that all the WR's and the secondary have a swagger. The most important guy on the team is all swagger. Brees owns every field he steps on. Quote:

Just win baby win! That's all that matters to me....

Swagger? We don't need no stinking swagger!

I think swagger is with start up teams. Once you become more efficient and start making your 3 playoff seasons in a row, the team should morph into professional engine of winning and giving your boys a shoot at the trophy every year.
Much like PiTT, N.E., Colts, etc.. do. I mean look the Bucs, Failclowns had swagger dripping from their shoulder pads at the beginning of the season, now look at them. |
Pshh, the Saints are swagriffic.

I get what you are saying about swagger, but I actually think that it's better, that it's so darn QUIET during the week of Saints news, nobody much is talking, nobody is being a distraction or talking smack, no sideshows (except fun, silly stuff like Brees being on Sesame Street), you'll notice there's just not a lot of NEWS or interviews or "bulletin board fodder" coming out of the Saints camp these days...that to me is very reminiscent of the attitude of the '09 season and the run, in this part of the year -- like when they got into that Rams/Redskins/Falcons "tough wins" part of the '09 schedule. More like a quiet determination, rather than swagger. I'm good with it.

We are better than they are; we're good enough. We shouldn't be thinking about swagger; we shouldn't be talking about swagger, 'cause the Saints are good enough. And you guys shouldn't write about swagger and all that bullstuff--that's malarkey. We are good enough to beat those guys and we have to prove it out there today. It's that simple. We're good enough. But we've got a long way to go; we've got a lot of work to do (to win the SB); we're close, and close don't mean ****. And you can put that on TV for me. It ain't about coming close, and we're gonna work our asses off until we ain't close anymore. We're gonna get it done; and when we are in there (SB) – we will think swagger, we will talk swagger, cause the Saints have proved we are good enough. Fact!
