Jeremiah Trotter Question
Trotter is scheduled to make $3.8 million this season. Next year his number goes up to 5.6. With all of these big name signings it seems for sure that Trotter re-works his deal or becomes a cap casualty--if not now, then in the near future.
http://redskins.theinsiders.com/3/salary_cap_chart.html On to my question, would it be worthwhile for us to float an offer for a trade to Washington? If so, what should we offer? He's only 27 and should have several good years left and with lower production and injury rehab time, we should be able to rework his deal so that we aren't stuck with the same numbers that Washington had. I was kind of thinking that if we could get Trotter for one of our 2nd rounders and a 2nd day pick with maybe a conditional 3rd for next year, I'd be pretty happy with that for a quality MLB. |
