i really liked that guy, the real deal j. bell. i hope they let him go after the season so we can sign him again next spring. were going to lose some of our bench in the near future and i thought he would fill nicely.

They also had Mike Bell in training camp but I guess he forgot to wear his cleats again.

One word. Playbook. Okay a second word, maybe. Signals. Teach us about Drew's hard count. It happens. All around the league. Teams we may face in the playoffs want a piece of us. Happened to the Saints before. He's no Fujita or Shockey. He knows nothing.

I really liked J. Bell. Wish we could have kept him but I guess you can't keep everybody. Detroit needs a RB. I don't think they signed him just for playbook or signal reasons, though that probably has some validity but the kid is a baller and has some very good skills. Hope that's all we lose cause we've got some signings coming up that we may not get done and will need an Adrian Arrington and a Joe Morgan etc.

I liked what I saw of J Bell in the preseason. I hope he does good, just not against us!

I dont agree at all. Bell looked like a pretty good RB, and the last thing I want is for the Lions, with their idiot coach and dirty players, to suddenly get a run game to add to their good pass attack in the playoffs.
I want the Lions 1 and done, thats what they deserve.

I agree pherein, what the lions just got was a PT23 Jr. Bell is a good back, he will make some noise in the NFL. I really wanted to keep this guy. This is one of those oh sh!! moments. Not a good move on the Saints part!!

The Saints didn't make a move, Joique was claimed off of our practice squad.

The only way we could have prevented that was to cut someone off the 53, and activate JB for 3 full games.

We weren't going to keep 5 RB's.
