to all the Falcons fans and players *****ing
If you dont want us "running up the score then you should have stopped us. Not our fault your secondary is garbage. Maybe instead of selling your soul in the draft to get a receiver you should have addessed some of your problems on defence.
exactly right, its their own fault for not stopping us.
Man last night was an awesome game, destroying the clowns on monday night and brees getting the record, i didn't think i'd be suprised but i was at how every single member of the team came up to brees individually, he's well loved |
I noticed a good number of Falcon fans on their boards saying, "Its not their fault we suck." A lot of them seem much angrier at their own team
management, than at us. I was actually pleasantly surprised by a number of their reactions. |

And they seem more pissed that Brees breaking Marino's record also resulted in scoring a TD.
As someone posted earlier; the Falcons should have punted on 4th down; Brees would have gotten his yardage and the Saints would have run the clock out. Of course that is if Sprolesy didn't run the punt back for a TD!! LOL!! |
Last nights game was 2nd in all time great and emotional Saints games of all time right behind the super bowl with the reopeningof the Superdome a 2nd B. It was great and Drew deserves it.
They would have done the same thing to us if the situation was reversed.
Any team would have done what we did and if I were on the receiving end of that team I would have understood the situation and not whinned about it. I would'nt have liked it but would not have taken it personal. Running up the score is one thing. Being 30 yards shy of a record and going for it is something entirely different.
I like how Payton is putting all the blame, although unjustified, on himself for the decision.
DEFEND YOURSELF!!!!! IT'S NFL FOOTBALL! PEOPLE ARE GETTING PAID MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO STOP THE OPPOSING TEAM.
Atlanta had a great opportunity in the loss - they could have stopped Drew Brees from getting the record, just like they TALKED TRASH they would before the game. It could have been a moral victory for their defense. What happened? They folded. They could have spoiled it for Drew on MNF, but they didn't. We said "bend over" and they bent over. We said "now take this" and they took it. Who's fault is that? |

This whole thing is stupid - any team in that positon would have done the same thing. ANY TEAM
Atlanta Defense: If you don't like it - don't put on a uniform, don't take the check, and, by all means, don't take the field.
Going for it was the best decision. Drew and the Saints needed to get it done and over with, get the monkey off their backs. That way they could concentrate on winning next week and going into the playoffs with a strong finish to the regular season.
I didn't hear the Falcons complaining when they were running it up on the Jags the week before.
