1 Attachment(s)
Saints running back Pierre Thomas has been fined $12,500 for a uniform violation and a touchdown celebration in which he placed a bow on a football and gave it to a fan.
The fine for the celebration is $7,500. Thomas also violated NFL policies by wearing Christmas-themed green and red tape on his black and gold Saints uniform, and his fine for that is $5,000. Notice of the fines was taped to Thomas' locker by teammates with a big red bow on top as part of a prank. I wanna say Colston did too but may be wrong about that. |
I'm not the least surprised and i think its quite fitting for such a foolish thing.

It was dumb as hell. I hope the team fines the crap out of him too.

Couldn't even get the bow on right!
The fine goes to charity any ways... he was in the Christmas spirit. |
Yep, I was screaming "Oh No, Don't do it!" at the TV when he first pulled the bow out. I my wife was wondering what I was talking about. I told her that he was about to get a 15 yard penalty for excessive celebration and a big fine. If he had just walked up and handed her the ball and said Merry Christmas, it would have been fine. But he had to showboat it. There were several players standing around him trying to shield him from the officials. They should be fined too. If it's against the rules, it's against the rules. Dont do it!
