Saints never won last game of reg season under Payton
I think we played scrubs in every one of them.
Because we normally do not have much to lay for AND/OR we are resting starters
Yeah, on PlayBook NFC this was Sterling Sharpe's reasoning for picking the Panthers. Whatever. If Coach says we are going to play to win, I'm all in.
Ok so this will be the first year.
This is Cam Newton's Super Bowl. If he wins, he goes to Disney Land.
Can't imagine the pump it will give to his over-inflated ****y ego if that happens. It just cannot happen. Not in our house. Not this year. Alaska |
A slightly different way of looking at it is that, Sean Payton is a big part of the reason why the league has been desperately tweaking the schedules these past few years, trying desperately to make the last games of the year mean something. The league tried every scheduling trick they could think of in order to give the Falcons a shot, to make that last Falcons/Saints game be for the division title: by giving the Falcons an easy game (Jags) and a long week to prepare for the Saints, by giving the Saints the Falcons first game on the road the week BEFORE their bye; giving the Falcons the earlier bye week to rest and heal so they could play the Saints at their best....Well the league got what they wanted, only it wasn't what they wanted. It was a blowout.
....and today is going to end that streak because CoachSp and Saints will win:bng:
I actually fancy the Panthers for this one. If the 'David Akers Experience' has kicked enough Field Goals in the first half of the game at St. Louis to secure the #2 seed then Payton will start pulling players out left, right and centre. That leaves a very potent Panthers offence to come flying at us.
For those of you interested in odds, the bookmakers have the Panthers at 7/2 to win last time I looked. If you fancy a punt I would get on this one! |
Nice job Saints!
