NFL Playoffs: Drew Brees, Saints Look Very Tough To Beat

Watching the New Orleans Saints compared to any other NFL team is almost like looking at different sports. That's how good the Saints offense is and that was evident in Saturday night's NFC Wild Card game as they put up 45 points on the Detroit Lions and won the game, 45-28.

Detroit hung in for one half entering the third quarterback with a 14-10 lead but that didn't last long. The Saints scored four more touchdowns from the start of the second half to midway through the fourth quarter. Drew Brees' stats are almost comical -- 466 yards and three touchdowns. That's an NFL record as is the total yards from the Saints (breaking a 49-yard old record) and the combined total yards from both teams (tying an NFL record set in 1995).

The Saints offense is so, so good and I don't know who can stop them. The obvious answer is Green Bay but I think the Saints are playing so much better right now than the last time those two teams met in September. Brees is on another planet, Darren Sproles contributes in so many areas and even the second and third receivers are racking up 100 yard days for New Orleans.

The Saints now travel to San Francisco to play the 49ers and that should be a very good game.

How good are the Saints? The Saints are stupid good.

They make you look stupid.
