this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; The Steelers have given him permission to seek a trade. Right now the Steelers are asking for a 2nd rounder for him. Anyone got any opinion in this? Maybe grab him and then with 18 grab the best cb or ...

The Steelers have given him permission to seek a trade. Right now the Steelers are asking for a 2nd rounder for him. Anyone got any opinion in this? Maybe grab him and then with 18 grab the best cb or package 1st and 2nd to move up? I think gildon is a no BS player, someone we can get damn good play out of and no crying. Or even get him, Bolden and then get the best available player with # 18?

They will end up trading him for a 3rd rounder, which is not a bad deal. I\'d do it, but I doubt the Saints have lifted an eyebrow.

Gildon will be 32 when the next season starts.
I still think if we could get him for a 3rd rounder that would be a good deal. He\'s no Jeremiah Trotter though. He is the right size for a linebacker though, doesn\'t have the size problems that Vilma has -- who\'s more like a big safety than a LB anyway. :P |
